I've had all of my gear shutdown since April or May when it got hot here in the desert. But I thought I'd at least run the SP20s again for shits-and-giggles since the BTC exchange rate is up ~$300.
So, what do you experts suggest for the most efficient settings? I've look through some of the other SP20 threads for suggestions but that exact info is difficult to find. And any pool suggestions? I used to mine at BTCguild but I was a bit surprised to see that they've completely shut down. Title: Re: Most efficient SP20 settings? Which makes it cheaper then F2pool. I like constant amount earned. Sometimes I won't go with PPS, but PPS shortterm is very nice. Title: Re: Most efficient SP20 settings? Just have to go into settings and change mining type. F2pool is 4 percent for PPS. It is a good pool aswell, but higher priced fees. Now I have not mined with antpool in weeks are you sure they let you switch from pplns to pps at no extra charge? Yes you can switch from PPLNS to PPS with no extra fees beside main fee. And at a fee of 2.5 percent for PPS its fairly low as far as pool fee. It's really nice being able to go from PPLNS or PPS without switching pools. I am pretty sure it came with them wanting to beat f2pool. But they have not done a good job of advertising you can switch to PPS on antpool, I found it by accident after reading support a few weeks back. Title: Re: Most efficient SP20 settings? I'm currently at .61V with a max of .65V and still getting 1200GHs so I probably have room to come down a bit more for better efficiency (and lower fan speed/noise!). Post by: Finksy on July 13, 2015, 06:26:36 PM Xian's setup is similar to what I ran, but I ran higher fan settings (80%) even with the under-clock. My experience with SP20's was they were more efficient when run cooler, the difference between 20 and 80 fan setting gave a few percentage reduction in wattage for same hashrate. This is also why I ran the two rear loops at lower wattage, like Xian.

If you want to limit voltage, you'd have to use "Voltage Limit (0.580-0.790)", but there's absolutely no point in that. Just use the watt settings.

I found it easier to limit wattage for consistency/stability, as it allows them to settle to whatever voltage is required per chip to run at a specific power level and efficiency. I used to use a very low max voltage. and a low start voltage. and I kept watts in the ballpark. but to each their own |
