Post by: V for Varoufakis on July 12, 2015, 07:20:43 PM
A committee convened by the Greek parliament has claimed much of the country's debt of 320bn euros was illegally contracted and should not be paid.

Woops looks like my computer may have been loading it wrong, I swear I saw them make a typo in that article, either that or they fixed it really quick lmao.

I don't know about illegal, but the whole lending system is definitely fraudulent, but it goes both ways, if Greece hadn't borrowed that money in the first place they wouldn't be in this mess.

So is the law. In every country there are different laws so what is fraudulent in one can be legal in another.
I hope Greece does like Iceland and ends up not paying this debt.

Germany should just own Greece until they pay back.

To be honest, they took that money, they spent it, so talking about illegitimacy now is a bit weird. If my wife borrows some money without my consent and spent it on whatever she wanted to buy, I'm going to be liable for paying it back when the creditor knocks on the door.

Your wife is not necessary to borrows money. She can prints her own money.  :D
