Title: Another question about Trust
Post by: Athertle on July 13, 2015, 04:01:52 AM
I'm still a bit hazy on how the trust points work. I looked at this user's trust (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=136081) and he has a light green trust of 10. How do 8 positive feedbacks and 2 negative add up to 10 positive? And how does this user's trust points (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=390349) only add up to 1, when he has 15 positives?

I'll be grateful for any replies to this.

only the trusted feedback will affect the trust displayed under our usernames.

0: -0 / +1 this means the account has 1 positive trusted feedback
1: -0 / +1 this means that the trusted feedback on the account is 1 month old(it adds +1 on each month for maximum of 10months on each positive feedback you have)
0: -0 / +0 this is the number of trusted negative feedback

The colors appear over time, first it will be black then light green and finally dark green, now im not really sure how exactly you go from one to another or how much time has to pass but im sure if you use the search button you will find your answer

Good tip: don't trust the "trust system" because scammers can get a green score very easy.

People buy and sell accounts around here.

I know newbies that I would trust over hero and legend accounts. Use your own judgment when dealing with people and always do your homework before sending any large amount to anyone. ;)

There is an easy way to ensure you are not dealing with a hacked/stolen/bought account. Ask for a signed message from an address from long ago, this way you are almost 100% sure that he is the real owner.
