I thought everyone should know that I have setup a site dedicated to keeping everyone updated with the current status of TORWallet

Basically the back-end is just a bash script running a constant post to https://torwallet.com (https://torwallet.com) and http://nci2szjrwjqw2zbi.onion (http://nci2szjrwjqw2zbi.onion).
Attempting to send coins out from a wallet. The status site will be updated if there is any change that affects the sending of bitcoins out of TORWallet.

Some notes on TORWallet.

I think it's strange that the site continues to run and allow deposits, If it was a scam I would assume the site would be taken offline.

When accessing any wallet on the site via the "Send" url https://torwallet.net/send/c7cc9c381827e71e64c601716041d121c02ef556dfcf039fb6f90783a911ddb8

The "Hot wallet exhausted" message is shown even if a post was not sent.

I would also suggest that if you want your coins to be moved when/if the service comes back online that you run a script like this

Good thinking and thanks for setting up such a service.  At this point, it's clear they are either incompetent or malicious.  Either way, they have no business holding on other people's coins. I agree with you that it's very strange the site is still operating and accepting deposits (with no way to retrieve them).  It would make more sense for the site to disappear completely (they know users have no way find them regardless).  The paranoid part of me thinks they already made the decision to scam their users and merely left the ability to deposit coins working to snatch every last microbit people are willing to give them.  I hope I'm wrong.

They took over 200 coins from me with an error message just saying "database error!" it's been over 2 weeks.

they moved my coins already but no way for me to get access to them and they haven't replied to my emails.

I think they are SCAMMERS holding my 200+ coins hostage!

I think people need to be kept up to date with the status as the site is still running. I still hope that they are just incompetent and have neglected there service for some period or have had a massive loss of coins or even been hacked...

I too had the paranoid thought that they are leaving the site running just to get more deposits. I really hope that we are both wrong.


Your coins where moved to the address 1NfsP7ABs94KGHfTaC94nJGU84CvjHJhmD after 5 hours, was this done by you or do you think the TORWallet service performed this action?

That was them, I have not had access to my coins since I first sent them, even before the transaction had 3 confirmations I received a nice message that says: "Database Error!" on their website.  All blank but just that message.  I basically sent the coins waited about 5 minutes, clicked on the refresh balance button and BAM got that error.  It has the same error in onion or on clearnet.  I've emailed them with the link and they have done nothing at all.  I would think that this kind of error would be simple for them to fix or at least send my coins to a wallet that I can access, even if their website shows this error it's obvious that the coins are still accessible from their backend. 

I would post the link even just to prove that it shows "Database Error!" but I don't really see the point in that as there is no other information I can get from doing that and if they do eventually fix it someone could get to it before me and send my coins to themselves :P.

I hope they see this and get themselves together, this is very unprofessional and a 100% scam if they don't get my coins back to me.

BTW, I followed the rest of the coins, after they merged into a larger wallet it seams that the pattern continues to merge into wallets with 2 transactions at a time, a small and big transfer.  I followed the big transfer which continued the pattern (all being spent of course) until it split by almost half into smaller amounts then all of a sudden to http://blockchain.info/address/1BLitZGYgERqp1NUgnHLBSfEng6QmZaWKe which has 804 transactions, of course this could have just been someone else who used the service as I'm not sure how they actually mix the coins because I don't see where my coins went to a larger wallet with just a balance... I have a feeling they spent my coins or are using other people's money to gamble and they lost the bitcoins causing a shortage.

I'm seeing a pattern in the users that have emailed the link to TORWallet seem to be the ones that have lost there coins straight away.

What was your original coin address (Not the TORWallet url)?

BTC200 is a lot to lose!! I have only got around BTC100 tied up in TORWallet.

My coins still haven't moved from there original addresses.

I just want to add that I'm in the same situation as Tweaked.  My TORwallet link still works and I can see the balance.  When I check the coins on Blockchain.info, the coins have not actually moved since the initial deposit.

Any updates here?  I'm getting this message today.  Wish I'd done a search before I transferred them in.  I've used TorWallet so many times and now this.

This suggests that something has happened to the owner of the site and he is not able to mind the business.

Interesting to see what more experienced users think about this puzzle.

My coins are still there as well, and haven't moved......

Assuming it is a scam, I don't see why the operator would take it down, since there is no way to find her, and people continue to deposit money.
