Title: Bitcoin Project to Help Raise Funds & Awarness for Recreational Cannabis in Main Post by: Legalize Maine on July 14, 2015, 11:13:56 PM Hi All, New-ish to Bitcoin here, about a week in I suppose. I am looking for a few fellow Mainers to help me get on track to doing a fund raiser for the Legalize Maine initiative to help us get some funding for things like media coverage, ad's and the costs of having petitions printed and other general stuff like that. I was able to get a wallet client installed and get an address which is what the guy who gave me this idea said I needed to do but beyond that I am stuck. Running around the web begging for donations to an address to aid in legalizing marijuana in Maine just seems unprofessional and seems like it would be unproductive if not counter productive so I need some help in finding the right way to do it.
Would anybody from the bitcoin people be willing to help me get it set up in a more professional manner so I can test it out to see if it is even worth investing time in fundraising with bitcoin? Someone who is involved in the campaign recommended that we reach out to Bitcoin & Potcoin stating that both communities were full of activists and it might be a good way to not only raise funds outside of the normal US dollar crowd but to also find a few more Mainers to get involved in helping to collect signatures and help with awareness events. |
