Title: Hiring a few testers for review of Keyscrow Multisig Escrow
Post by: -XXIII- on July 16, 2015, 08:49:31 PM
Hey,

We have a thread over at reddit.com/r/Jobs4Bitcoins (https://www.reddit.com/r/Jobs4Bitcoins/comments/3djl2h/testing_keyscrow_multisig_escrow_round_2/) hiring a few testers for our escrow service.

Here's a copy of that post, extending that offer here:

Quote
Here we go again, for round two of testing our newly created 2-of-3 Multisig Escrow service designed with simplicity, Keyscrow.

We're going to do this differently this time, only users with an established profile with a decent karma [or rep] score will be chosen to participate in this test. We will choose a handful of testers, the entire process takes a few hours but minimal work is required.

Testing will consist of two exchanges through Keyscrow, once over regular net and once on testnet. You will create a Bitcoin escrow contract, acting as a merchant, and provide us with the escrow URL to deposit Bitcoin. Then, while this is confirming, we will act as merchant and provide you with a Testnet escrow URL to deposit coins into.

Once the testnet coins are released, we would like a review of the experience under this post, after which we will release the $5 in bitcoin. No exceptions, less a bug is found.

Testers need not know how to use multisig, but must know the basics of Bitcoin. We have simplified our docs, please read them before coming to us with questions. We'll know if you didn't.

To apply, please provide the escrow URL for us to deposit your Bitcoin into a multisig public address (in a PM).

I would test it out, but my reddit account has no karma (1 post in 3 years). Would bitcointalk or OTC rep count?

Yeah definitely, rep is rep, be it here or there.

I just did this and Keyscrow's service is very nice. It tells you exactly what to do and requires only a little bit of technical knowledge. Overall, the service is great for multisig escrows and I would definitely use them for real transactions.

I've sent you a pm regarding this one since you've confirmed earlier (from Blazedout's post) that rep here is counted.

I'd love to assist with this as well. Feel free to send me a message if you'd like for me to participate in the test.

Being a new member, it looks like I misunderstood what 'rep' is, and should have read the label cause it says 'activity'.

I seen now that rep, is the trust counter at the bottom. This is the score we will be looking for, not the activity counter. Hereon out please only +rep accounts will be accepted for testing. (there are always exceptions to any rule of course)

To the people we already replied to, you may complete testing.

Hi there, I'm interested in participating. I have a little +rep on this forum and decent rep from OTC deals and work, check my sig for that.

I also like to test this site.

This was my first experience of multisig. I should have read up a bit more on the process but despite messing up a few times the transaction worked out. I'll probably use this service next time I need escrow, seems more convenient than an agent once you figure it out.

Completed multisig testing and it works really well, it's pretty self explanatory but if anything is unclear the help page clears up all the confusion. The coins are kept safe in the escrow address and after the transaction is done the buyer can sign the transaction using his private key and entering the password and the coins are released to the Merchant. Very convenient.

Let me know if you still need more tester. I can post here or on Reddit. My Reddit account almost has 6k karma.
