Title: Do Newbies (or Anyone) Enjoy Paid Bitcoin Tasks?
Post by: marcotheminer on July 17, 2015, 10:58:08 AM
As part of the research I'm undertaking for my soon-to-be launched faucet, I'd like to know:

Do you regularly visit PTC sites or task sites which pay out in Bitcoin?

Message me if you want some simple tasks to do!

as far as enjoying ptc goes, ive tried it once before, and i found it overly monotonous and unbearable; if you could implement it into your faucet as something for people to do while waiting on a faucet cooldown, i can see it working though; id expect others to have a different opinion of ptc sites/tasks.

Well I guess it all depends on the pay rate.
I don't visit PTC sites, but I recently participated in a paid questionnaire happily for example.

I sometimes visit these particularly those offering CrowdFlower tasks "non-BTC sites" and some other PTC and smaller task sites too but I don't know if any BTC site offers CrowdFlower tasks currently. I'm not sure why since there rates are good compared to typical PTC rates and they have plenty of tasks.

In my experienced in PTC companies , I see majority of users especially newbies preferred viewing ads than taking task. But like the top poster above me all depends on the pay rate and how easy the task will be. Plus available task must not restricted in very countries.

We offer CrowdFlower tasks at www.bitcoinget.com. Compared to other sites, we have more tasks available, and we pay higher for the same tasks. If you have any questions, feel free send us a PM.

the famous PTC sites that are paying in bitcoin, pay such an small amount that it makes faucets more valuable.
in comparison a faucet can pay 500-1000 satoshi and even if the PTC pays the same, it is not worth the time that you have to wait for the ad to load and then enter a capcha code too!

we are always there, it's all about the rate, if the rate is good enough i'm in, otherwise if the rate it's like any fauctes, it would be only a waste of time

the rate should be around signature campaign to be worth it or at least half of it

I used to, not any more. You would understand better than anyone that sig campaigns pays much better than faucets and we also get to discuss and be updated news about bitcoin. A faucet level payout is not going to interest members on this forum. If you are offer more complex tasks with higher payments, that's a different story.

If payments are fair for our time this sounds like a great idea.

I would do tasks for a bit of extra bitcoins.

I remember a crowd sourcing site within clixsense where you'll be paid for completing a task
they pay pretty good but you need to be accurate in answering or doing the task

Depend on how much can I earn and how complicated the process.
Is it worth to do it or not ? For example : I like to visit freebitcoin because they're keep consistent paying with fixed bitcoin value and never had any problem.

that's only if there's a competent system in place to review the work done; people are always looking for ways to abuse the system, especially when theres money involved (and in this case there is.).

I agree with that. I see someone offering bots for a faucet, that way they don't need to be logged in and answer or play for bitcoin.

No, I don't visit ptc sites or task sites which pay in bitcoin. I am user of only one ptc site that pay in bitcoin or fiat money but only because the potential of this site, I think, it is much more than that. If this site will continue only with the ptc way to earn for sure I will not follow anymore it.

I think that doing tasks or visiting ptc sites is useless and don't give nothing.

well they give something, just not very much; the work required to pay ratio is quite low, but that all depends on the person putting up the task.

Post by: EXtremeAEX on July 18, 2015, 09:09:41 AM
For me it depends, and the first few factors I look at would be the paying rates, easy and wide range of tasks, and the minimum payout. I used to do these paid to do tasks sites, but in the end it gets more difficult to earn because of the low range of tasks, so I dont have much choices and methods to earn much, so once I reached the minimum payout I cashed out and never returned again. :P

If you are planning on doing one make sure people all around the world can do it, and not just restricted, but more open, or even let users create tasks for others to do. I would love paid to click, or watch videos tasks. Fast and easy. :)

i have tried almost all the methods to earn money (bitcoin) online.

so far using faucets is at the bottom of the list sorted by amount earned :)
very close to that is PTC sites and after that is all the task offering systems like croudflower .

all PTC and faucets and any other sort of earning similar to those require mass advertising by the user in order to get a lot of referrals which help him earn a little more.
as for tasks , the time it takes to complete them doesn't come close to the amount they pay in return.

What I want I'm sure is very hard to achieve.   But I would love something I could leave up on a computer and make money without being there.  I'm not sure there is a good stream of things to bring the income though.  I know that is kinda a almost impossible feat.

The tasks I find interesting.   If say I sign up under you on company X and receive X btc for it.  And have a good amount of these.

That's my 2 cents I know you will come up with something good :)

I doubt anyone enjoys doing tasks but if the pay is reasonable (and more than the typical 0.001$ per click rates etc...) then allot of people would give it a try.

problem with that is, the person putting up the task in question has to be willing to offer those high rates for the task to be done. if the site was responsible for putting up these tasks, the payment for the task cannot exceed the revenue the site gets for this talk being completed.

I think alot of newbies do that.

I got a paid survey on my website and alot of bitcoin users do it with my referral link.

I get about 2-3 completion /day for a traffic of 500-600 daily visitors.

they are similar to bitcoinget tasks, which pay you in bitcoin for watching, surveys and shopping and maybe something else

but bitcoinget.com does not work very well on surveys it seems that you need to answer certain type of question to get more

also it work on level you can't do task that are level 2-3 ecc..until you reach those level of course

Yes but how long did it take you to do this? To make 0.01btc it took me constantly everyday for 4 months straight when I first started out over a year ago.
I was like what!? $2 and a bit for all that work. Not worth the time man.

i believe that many are doing it with a bot and not manually, a coder can simply make a bot in no type in php and resolve captcha with it, simple and easy

there are also some that use bot for signature campaign(using Xrunner i think), i see at least one spamming 120 post then he cancelled everything in few seconds when i caught him with a quote

For me , it depends on the PTC site. Some ptc sites have games to play with your earnings which i really enjoy a lot and some are just plain ptc site that lets you click an ad, wait for seconds, enter captcha and wait 24 hours to have some ads to click again which is boring

Not really I had multiple task sites on my site, on one I had over 70 referrals and none of them did the surveys. Maybe 3 out of 70, and they did it once, and never even logged back in.

So that tells something about these task sites, sorry there bro, but no people are interested in that now.

Well I was advertising to fauceting community since my ad network has faucet owner publishers, so obviously my audience was faucet workers.

Which is strange, since if faucet workers are willing to work painful for 0.0001 BTC, but they are not willing to work for 0.001 (for survey sites), give me the conclusion that they must be really boring or hard to complete, so most people wont do it.

There are risks in any business, PTC is no different.

Some PTC workers cash 70,000$ weekly, due to tons of referrals. You have to be first, and you have to be good.

But its possible.

I`m not sure about surveys & task sites though.

exactly as faucets and get paid for solving captchas, you get few for little work and it is only worth if you have lots of referrals.

I would only try paid BT tasks if things were different, but I don't think it would be economically viable

usually the payment of such tasks are very small. and worst of all is that some of them require you to put a lot of effort in completing them and then wait a long time to get paid for it.

i agree but selling your skills is different that doing online tasks. these online tasks are usually consist of searching, filling out forms, surveys, signing up and all sorts of work like that.

but selling skills is something like doing web design or for example coding or i have done some graphical design myself which pays way more that the first group.

No, and I honestly think only people new to Bitcoin world (or people with a lot of free time) use faucets. I have nothing against them but like others said it's a waste of time.

Obviously that would depend on how much the pay was.   Are we talking about just a few satoshi or are we talking about a decent level of pay?  I would do just about any task if the price was right.

That's fair. Me too, depends on the price i enjoy the the task and the payment :)

usually the payment of such tasks are very small. and worst of all is that some of them require you to put a lot of effort in completing them and then wait a long time to get paid for it.

Well as i said it really depends what task you do, there are lots of that doesn't pay much or near to ~0, but "selling" your skills gets you good income.

i agree but selling your skills is different that doing online tasks. these online tasks are usually consist of searching, filling out forms, surveys, signing up and all sorts of work like that.

but selling skills is something like doing web design or for example coding or i have done some graphical design myself which pays way more that the first group.

I have done these task too, including the surveys which are really annoying and at the end is not 100% that you will be paid.

I used to do those sort of tasks in the beginning but now I've come to realize that its just a waste of time. The amount you earn by working is nothing compared to the amount of work you do.  ;) So, i don't those tasks anymore , Time is more valuable :)
in fact, we could earn many bitcoin to perform some small task, as long as we know what how to multiply and develop it,
but most importantly of all this is good information, it would be very helpful.

In reality , most of the newbies enjoy doing paid bitcoin task even it has low payout as long as they paid. This serve as their starting ground like claiming in some faucets.

For some advanced users , for a user to be enjoy paid bitcoin task , it depends on the task and how much it will worth. They are on experience already that's why they looking for a decent rate that will worth their time.

Exactly this! You are better off doing a real job and then come back and buy some bitcoins, you will make and have much more at the end. The only person that makes money here is the site operator, nevermind is it a faucet, task solving site or whatever else.

Most of the people realize that and quit messing with these sites altogether after some time.

Everyone will enjoy any task that can pay them a decent amount but as for the PTC thing, I think it's already overused and they don't really pay that much If you will set a new get-paid-to task then consider offering a much greater amount than other ptcs' already offered.

I would like to know these kind of tasks
I think is not limited to newbies right ?
I would like to join any task if i can do that job.

they are similar to bitcoinget tasks, which pay you in bitcoin for watching, surveys and shopping and maybe something else

but bitcoinget.com does not work very well on surveys it seems that you need to answer certain type of question to get more

also it work on level you can't do task that are level 2-3 ecc..until you reach those level of course

Sometimes i got stuck in these surveys, often i complete the survey but they don't pay, sometimes it says i am not qualifying that makes me nervous.

I am interested in doing tasks for bitcoins in exchange. Usually PTC sites have offers like surveys (5-30 mins), video tasks, business card tasks or data entry tasks and the pay ranges from 0.0003 BTC to 0.001 BTC. I am interested in tasks that can be completed without any investment.

I was trying to experiment with paid tasks a while ago, and investing in (advertising) referrals to various paid task sites, but with small luck.

I dont think the GPT, PTC industry is fully developed in BITCOIN, most PTC sites are still heavily dependent on adsense and whatnot. So it can mostly work in bitcoin.

For there to be a better GPT/PTC programs, there need to be more bitcoin based advertiser networks.

I think the concept of a single satoshi confuses a lot of people new to bitcoin, and thus why these tasks, faucets, and other sites get away with paying so little.

For one, most people are not comfortable with decimal places, especially with the 8 that bitcoin uses. Most currencies use 2 decimal places, for instance in the US $0.01 for one penny, the smallest physical coin you can posses. Some places, such as gas stations, may advertise a price in tenths of a cent, or go to three decimals for example a gallon of gas may be priced at $2.499, but that is the extent of everyday pricing for most people.

So when someone sees a faucets that pays 20,000 satoshi daily, it sounds like a lot. Even a "good", using the term loosely, faucet such as moonbitcoin, you may earn a 120,000 satoshi a week payout if you are dedicated. To many this sounds like a ton of bitcoin. In reality it is only a few cents.

It may be helpful for people new to bitcoin to visualize a chart of various satoshi values, represented in USD:

1 satoshi = 0.00000001 BTC =   $0.00000236
10 satoshis = 0.0000001 BTC =  $0.0000236
100 satoshis = 0.000001 BTC =  $0.000236
1000 satoshis = 0.00001 BTC =  $0.00236
10,000 satoshis = 0.0001 BTC = $0.0236 (finally broke the penny mark)
100,000 satoshis = 0.001 BTC = $0.236
1,000,000 satoshis = 0.01 BTC = $2.36
10,000,000 satoshis = 0.1 BTC = $23.60
100,000,000 satoshis = 1 BTC = $236.00

So as you can see, at today's exchange rate it takes roughly 10,000 satoshis to break 2 cents, or 5,000 for even one cent. Even using the moon bitcoin faucet which, spending a lot of time each day claiming you only earn around 20-30 cents a week. As far as paid tasks, you can look at the chart and determine if it is worth your time or not.

A 10 minute survey may be worth 0.005 BTC, or an impressive sounding 500,000 satoshis (about a dollar) to some, but any less is probably not worth it.

If you want I can suggest you a wonderful game (at least this way is for me) with which you can play and can earn satoshi. No maximal limit to earn. More go high in game more can be earned. For example i win every day about 90 000 satoshi (but this my preference because the maximum is higher). I want to go higher and higher to earn more and more. So part of satoshi go to my wallet and part to go high in game. If you are interested pm me to send you the link. No need for investment.

As part of the research I'm undertaking for my soon-to-be launched faucet, I'd like to know:

Do you regularly visit PTC sites or task sites which pay out in Bitcoin?

Message me if you want some simple tasks to do!

When I was a newbie back in the day and visited faucets it was more to learn about bitcoin related services, so ads were neat or if I enjoyed it, such as watching videos/music in exchange for rewards
Bitcoinget would be an example of that model
So an interactive element would be good such as viewing videos, giving opinions etc.

I guess that people who have no regular income and that can't afford to buy any bitcoins from the salary they are getting are the majority of the people that are doing these kind of tasks.

You could always do cash in mail transfers with someone who lives in your country; just because you don't have a bank account doesn't mean much. Plus, that's no real excuse for wasting hours for a couple bucks (max). If you really had money to buy bitcoins with, you'd know what kind of a waste of time faucets would be.

Not really there is localbitcoins for those who do not have a bank account.  But at least in US getting a checking account is really easy.  Depends on bank but like 25-50 minimum a lot of time for a checking account just keep that balance in it.  After you can use it to link to a exchange for your country.  Honestly everyone should do it as exchanges are cheaper then localbitcoin.

But yes localbitcoin offers a lot of different options to buy.  Also depending on location there are more and more Bitcoin ATM's popping up.

They always seem attractive at first. But once you get into them the tasks are usually too long or too involved or there's no simple confirmation that you've been paid for the task you've completed. It always involves signing up for promos or trial offers. Those types of tasks should pay Dollars, not fractions of cents.

When i first about bitcoin it was through freebitcoin faucet.
So i was really enjoying the paid task (which was mostly captchas)
And i think that yes most of newbies enjoy tasks especially paid ones.

offcourse they do except in case they are lazy or are not willing to do the work.
I mean when i was in newbie i did got up with many bitcoin tasks like twitter and facebook posting, hitting the refferal links.
There are still some newbies excited and sitting there to get some tasks :)

I wish there would be a good site which offer Bitcoins for doing tasks. The ones which exist have its drawbacks, so if you could create a cashback site with Bitcoins, it would be great.

I always watch that series on TV where people buy 1000's of dollars worth of groceries with vouchers in the US and they basically get everything for free and I think to myself, damn

would it not be cool, if we had something like that in Bitcoin. You perform small tasks and you receive a few vouchers for that at different shops. {The catch.. you have to use

Bitcoin, to get the discounts or claim the voucher} The Bitcoin merchants could fund these vouchers from the saving they generate from the lower fee's. Win Win situation.  ;)

People will receive discounts and the merchants will attract Bitcoin customers. The mini tasks will be fun, if you know you will receive real rewards.

You can read books for bitcoin at PaidBooks.com (http://PaidBooks.com) From what I see you could probably earn the same amount while using faucets, but I like the idea very much.

I love paid tasks.  I am actually developing my resume to be able to offer services to people in exchange for BTC.  I do love when I find tasks that are for earning BTC.  The problem is that there are not to many of these tasks out there and when they come up, they are taken as fast as they are posted.

If they paid highly or not.

I tried some tasks at coinworker which involved checking articles and Authors but found a number of the links were broken. It then told me my accuracy wasn't good enough as a result which made it a bit waste of time. I usually enjoy doing small tasks for money.

I do like faucets when I have time. They pay what they are used for, just a second of your time.

Paid tasks are so much effort for so little tips, eg p2c is quite slow and monotonous.

It is better if people provide a service such as design etc and get paid in btc

It's a great way to earn some BTC little by little if you are not interested in converting hard earned fiat money. 0.01 BTC maybe it's not a lot now, but if you are in the for the long run like many of us it can be proved to be very valuable.

Of course, this doesn't apply for faucets since the profit there can't really be compared. I don't think that's worth the effort or time.

offerwalls are a great way to earn...

by the way, I added coinbucks to my blog (http://blog.smartcoin.pw/p/earn-bitshares.html) - and its set to give the maximum percentage back to the user. means I do not make significant profit, and give it all back to the user. should be the best offering out there :)

If it was set to give the maximum to user wouldn't it give them all of it?  And you make zero profit not "I do not make significant profit"

Seems like your twisting words.  Either you do or you don't make a profit and it sounds like you do.

After years of doing "HIT" work for Amazon, lol, no, no, I do not do assassin work for Amazon, HIT, or Human Intelligence Tasks, are paid tasks work where Amazon (or whomever requests the task work) pay you to do things that require basic human intelligence to complete, eg. copy/paste research etc. I have also done tasks work for digital game currencies such as NX (Nexon related games), Zen (and formerly C-Points, primarily for Star Trek Online and the occasional purchase in Champions and Neverwinter), and various Facebook related games created by companies such as King and Zygna.

However, paid task work sometimes seems boring without proper incentive.. Like when I am doing paid tasks for game currencies, it is usually because I want to get something, like an outfit, a vehicle/mount, an item, or even to take advantage of mid-month sales when I do not have any spending moneys to simply purchase I am more willing to see a paid task through with a sense of urgency usually related to what I am trying to get..

However, many times over, paid tasks tend to offer very little payout for huge demanding tasks. Thumbing through the hitwork with Amazon, most of the jobs I see offer $.01-$.05 for work that can range between 5min to 2hours.. I am sure that paid tasks with Bitcoin would be similar in situation where you are working for a few bits an hour.. :\ ..I mean they are a legitimate way to get paid for doing very little, and I have no qualms against paid tasks, I just sometimes have problems completing them if the outlook is not that great..

I salute the fact that you could do these small paid tasks in order to make a living! I mean, one thing is to hit the faucets during your spare times as majority of people here are doing, but it's completely different to be doing this all days, every day.

Do you regularly visit PTC sites or task sites which pay out in Bitcoin?

Message me if you want some simple tasks to do!
Bitcoin is as valuable as fiat. When people visit other non btc PTC sites,I dont think they wont visit similar site that pays in btc.As far as I am concerned, yes i do visit faucets every now and then

Yes, you could call it a job to make a living for myself, however, it is not a full-time job for me, and I only really result to paid tasks when there is an extra need, like needing a way to "farm" or work for game currencies or something.. At the moment though, I have found my way back to Mturk (Amazon) to try and make a little (Little being the operative word..  :D) extra money for Christmas. Really the best way to run about Paid Tasks is to gauge them, some hits that I did turn in this morning gave me $.11/hit for google-researching the name of the owner or general manager of a bar and providing an email contact for them, an easy job that could potentially be done in a few seconds per hit..   ;)

yes i enjoy paid bitcoin tasks, i am new to this site before this site i am regularly visiting all faucets sites and nearly above 33 faucets i use to visit in my daily 12 hrs online time and earn bitcoins .

And what did you make with the 12 hours of faucets?  Is it over a cent a hour?   15 cents?

I just cant imagine spending that much time on faucets.  So much time so little pay out.  But I would love to hear what you got with 12 hours of it.

I think your best bet is to actually get paid for providing a service that someone will actually pay for.

Things such as faucets or p2c are generally very low earning, and the hours that you will spend will result in very little or income. Try and focus or what type of income you want and what skills you will need to learn to achieve this.

I'm not a newbie, but let's just imagine I am, and that I know almost nothing about Bitcoin for a second. I would enjoy doing tasks to earn Bitcoin, even if it pays barely anything. Those first few satoshis mean a lot. It is also a good way to learn about how Bitcoin works.

But as you gain more experience, you generally tend to move away from this stuff. You find other things that earn you more.

Or the new person goes to bitcoin atm buys 1  dollar worth.  Or even a exchange buys a few dollars.  Either of  those are not tasks but saves who knows how many hours for the new person and have a little to play with.

I think that vs spending hours on faucets to make dust  is much better.  Typing a capatcha does not teach you much about bitcoins.  So little learning and little pay, not good.
