I think volume is way more important but unfortunately coinmarketcap only tracks the last 24h. A long term volume graph comparison might be more interesting.

Saying 100 billion coins is too much is like saying 21 million coins is too little. In fact, saying 21 million coins is too little actually has some merit, because people are psychologically affected and want to have more than 0.000003 of a coin. How about the first crypto to feature Self-sustainable Decentralized Governance by Blockchain? It's known as development.
