Title: Vimeo plans tip jar using Credit Cards, lets get them to accept Bitcoins Post by: Akka on September 25, 2012, 07:16:01 PM Hello together,
I just stumbled over this: http://vimeo.com/blog/post:523 This would be a good implemention for bitcoins. Sadly I found no contact information on the side. Does someone know this side / know how to get in contact with them and is able to write them a introduction into Bitcoin better than I would with my weak English? Tips will be transferred to the video creator's PayPal account, minus a 15 percent service fee that Vimeo pockets. - http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2409890,00.asp Title: Re: Vimeo plans tip jar using Credit Cards, lets get them to accept Bitcoins Post by: WikileaksDude on September 25, 2012, 11:36:00 PM This would be a good implemention for bitcoins Well, good for the content creator, bad for Vimeo (who takes a 15% cut): Quote Viewers can then tip as much as they want using a credit card. Even still, that's high, but all that asides, I would love to see such a major site implement Bitcoins.

What about QR codes? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEAlhVOZ8qQ Title: Re: Vimeo plans tip jar using Credit Cards, lets get them to accept Bitcoins Post by: FreeMoney on September 26, 2012, 05:48:08 AM Firstbits at the end of content imo. What about QR codes? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEAlhVOZ8qQ Might as well both. I don't fancy phone so I don't usually think of it. What happens if you are watching on your fancy phone and the qr comes up, do you need another fancy phone to take a picture of it? Who cares if Vimeo officially supports Bitcoin? Just slap your Bitcoin donation address in your video info section. What happens if you are watching on your fancy phone and the qr comes up, do you need another fancy phone to take a picture of it? You need a QR capable device, which could be your phone or a dedicated reader. Btw, upgrade your phone because you're losing allot of useful features, besides, look around and you will see almost all of your peers having one :) The QR is usually accompanied by the text, so you could type it in if you happen to watch it on the same phone. |
