There always have been (and always will be) people in this world who either lack intelligence, or motivation, and say or do things that appear to reflect stupidity on their part.  This isn't new.

There also always has been (and always will be) people in this world who find that they need to point out those stupid actions to as many others as they can to improve their own self image.

"Look there is a stupid person.  The whole world must be full of them.  Thankfully I am intelligent enough to know better than that!"

I must give the kid some credit.
That thing Obama did to Muhammed Ali really wasn't cool.

Note: 11th grade. Not 11 years old.

In Vegas, I once asked a kid in grocery store parking lot what is the three planet from the sun. His reply: I don't know. We haven't got that far yet in school. (Quoted almost exactly) I then asked what grade he was in. His reply: I'm a senior.

The above is a true story. From that day I continued to ask the same questions to a myriad of different people. Most women answered with Venus and most men answered with Mars. Few said Earth.

Once, a middle aged man correctly stated all the planets in order starting with Mercury, with the exception of the one he's on. I asked him if he forgot one, whereupon he recited again the list, still leaving off Earth. Then I asked him so which is the third planet, and I quote, "Let's see: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter. It's Jupiter!" How I kept a straight face, I don't know. Somewhere in America there's a man walking around that doesn't know what planet he's on--or able to count to three. Yet he wears a suit.
