Title: Loading block index frozen Post by: muntedmonkey on September 26, 2012, 07:55:40 AM I am still learning in the bitcoin world. I tryed encrypting my wallet last night, came back on it today and it freezes on Loading block index. How do I fix this problem without loosing my coin?

The client won't even care that the passphrase encryption is enabled until you try to add an address or spend. Have you left it to complete loading? If it has to rescan the index, that will take a few minutes. What does the debug.log show?
