Title: Debit cards with a reasonable limit per year
Post by: Furio on July 21, 2015, 08:11:00 AM
I was wondering if anyone knew a company or services which provides debit cards anonymously with a reasonable limit. For example, Bit-x provides debit cards, yet if ou want to use it anonymous you can only withdraw 250 dollars per year!! I'm looking for a service like Bit-x, only with a higher limit for anonymous users, anyone can point me in the right direction?

I'm not going to register, because then I can just use any service provider like Bitfinex or Bitonic, my motivation is that I wish to withdraw bitcoins anonymously.

Anyone know such a service provider?

what do you by not registrer , you have to make an account on any website to get their card . that's for sure ... I'am not sure how you are annonymus with Bit-x.com while you provide your name , family name & adress to get the card . Anyway .. there is this Advcash which I tested but I didn't ask for the Plastic card , I just asked for the Virtual card .

You can use any name you'd like if you chose the 250 dollar a year option, yet it's not enough, I also have a VISA with that polish bank, but I don' trust it enough for high amounts :) My polish isnt that good ;)

I could be wrong on this.  You might check but I think the limit is for unverified.   If you verify I think it goes up.

But yes you lose anonymous with verifying.  But you are not really anonymous with card being sent you through the mail.

That depends on how you manage this, believe me, I will be anonymous :)

The problem I see if you no matter what have to get it send somewhere you have access to.  It's hard not to be known with this.

Why does the debit card need to be so anonymous for you?

Hmm in regards with Bit-x, I think they have some confirmation process on your identity for you to withdraw larger amounts. Most debit card providers do this to ensure their own safety so that in case a user did some foul move, they can at least contact the user and know their whereabouts. As for the anonymous user, idk how could that be achieved.

If you have around 25000$ available you could create your own unlimited prepaid card...

Because not one single agency has to know that I sell or use bitcoin, thats why :)

I'm not sure I understand, if you're using an exchange like Bitfinex, don't you have to have a verified account to be able to trade USD to Bitcoin (if that's what you mean to do)? Wouldn't they know who's withdrawing BTC anyway? Or do you mean a card that doesn't have your name on it? In any case you might want to check out https://bitplastic.com/
But I haven't tried them personally so this isn't a recommendation.

how you can do it, what are the procedures? in theory you could rise a business with those cards right?

sell for a low amount with low fees can open the doors for a serious project about those kind of cards

can you create it with visa instead of mastercard?

As far as I know there is no way to withdraw bitcoins anonymously, there are aways to withdraw bitcoin with certain levels of anonymity. Meeting with a person IRL to do a btc->cash transaction is the most anonymous way, even tho its not 100% anonymous since there are cameras, and the person you are selling/buying from will see you. It's still AFAIK the most anonymous ways.
All online ways are less anonymous than this.

Certainly true, but people are not in the mood to buy or something, absolutely no reaction through the forum or localbitcoin. NOrmally there would be 2/3 reactions a week, now nothing :)

It can't, that is the problem for people who want to be anonymous. Using Debit/credit cards are never good idea if you want to keep your identity secret.
Bitcoin debit card is no different your every transaction is being recorded and above some rather low limit you need to provide your full ID.
Anonymity is fiction while using it.

not only that, with the simple fact that you're using VISA, MASTECARD or any other circuit that use fiat, you put yourself in a position to be traced, those circuit can be controlled easily at will by banks if they really want to track you

many times they don't do this because the amount that they want to track is very low, and seizing it would not lead to a nice profit, and since tracking someone cost money, they will do it only when this is convenient

Anonymous Visa cards with bank accounts linked occasionally turn up in the goods section here. No idea how they work. BTC-e can send money to a Visa card but the fees are enormous.

I have them, but I don't trust the Polish bank. If you check on internet, lots of funds have dsappeared, and how I'm I going to get my money then :)

I need a service like Bit-x, with a higher limit. 5000 to 10000 would be do-able.

I like those bitcoin debit cards also... but yes, they only allow for very small transactions unverified. There is no way around it as far as I can tell.

All these "money transactions" need to be verified by law to avoid money laundering and criminal activity. Bitcoin is too well known for that by now.

I would accumulate the bitcoins, never convert them to fiat and hope you find that person that will sell their house or car to you and accept bitcoins for it. Technically you probably will need to report it on your taxes as "barter" but who knows about it if you don't tell? :)

To be honest I find those bitcoin debit cards pretty useless, they are of no actual use for now. And all of them claim that their debit cards work worldwide in all ATMS. anybody here who actually uses it and has tried it? I don't really understand why would anybody cash out their bitcoins, especially through ATMs. I'd never cash out my bitcoins man, I'd diversify my trades but not cash shit out.

Paying bills electronically was introduced shortly after the growth of internet in the masses.I don't think paying electricity bills would be such a big issue, and people who mine for a living might hardly be able to afford paying electricity with that kind of money. If you are a miner, tell me how much profit do you really make? :)
