Escrow allows payment through credit cards leaving the seller at risk for chargeback.

We offer direct sales at 1% below MtGox but we don't accept credit cards.  If you don't find someone willing to use escrow.com check out our BitcoinsDirect service (in sig).  We have bought and sold over 100,000 BTC without dispute or unresolved issue.

Upon further reading it looks like using the "standard" option excluded credit cards & PP.  We would be willing to sell using escrow as a trial.  Price would be MtGox last (no discount or fee).  You cover all escrow fees. For a $1,200 amount that looks like a $39.00 escrow fee + $10 ACH payout fee = $49.00.  The bitcoin address will be defined in the service and the amount of the service would be in USD (i.e. $1151 USD worth of Bitcoins to be transferred to address xxxxx based on MtGox last at the time of the transfer).

Sent a PM.  Just to be absolutely clear we won't accept payment by any reversible method (PayPal, CC, etc).  If you attempt to do so you will be stuck paying escrow fees.   You pay all fee including our $10 ACH cashout fee.

Just thought I would point out smmy wasted our time for nothing.   We created and escrow account, setup a transaction, sent it to him, he agreed to the terms, and was suppose to select a payment method and send funds that day.  He never did.  It has been three days.  He has made no attempt to contact us, or complete the transaction.

I doubt he is running a scam but he is good at wasting counterparty time.  -1 to smmy.  We are canceling the escrow.com transaction as a FAILURE of smmy to hold up his end of the bargin.

It seems like a scam gone wrong. Probably they didn't understand that you could lock them out of Paypal and CC when they agreed.
