I used CyberGhost for over a year and in the beginning I had many problems like this. After I contacted their customer service, they asked me couple of questions and told me that they have tweaked something in their system and after that everything was working much better. It disconnected sometimes but that was very rare and not at all often as before I took contact with them.

+1, I've used them for over a year and it's really easy to set up.  They accept bitcoin, too.

But, like foxkyu said, you CAN install a VPN server on a VPS... The only two downsides i see, is that you only have 1 server to chose from, and that VPS servers usually have a bandwith limit, while most VPS services don't
