My wallet won't connect, at the bottom right hand corner of the GUI it says "0 active connections to the Chipcoin network", and in the folder there is no .conf file, just Chipcoin-qt (application), and qrc_bitcoin (CPP file). Do I need to add anything to make it connect, or is there a large obvious button somewhere that I need to click?

You need to create ChipCoin.conf file in AppData\Roaming\Chipcoin\ open it with notepad and add nodes.

I just took a look at the other coins named in this thread, I have to be honest. We had no clue whatsoever :D We did not want to make a " copy"  project. It is almost sick how much our logo's resemble each other. If you take a closer look at the source, you can see the genesis block is mined about 5 days ago, before the BIOS announcement came across ::) Just sayin  ;D

This could be, I compiled on windows. And windows can be a bit of a pain in the ass when it comes down to the IconCache. Meaning if I change the Icon.ico file to another, windows still shows you the original file sometimes. I need to check this when I am near my compile machine ;)

I have that in my Chipcoin.conf now, and it's now in the \user\appdata\roaming\chipcoin folder rather than C:\chipcoin but the wallet still has no active connections. I've put "addnode 104.238.135.100 add" into console, I have tried restarting the wallet, and letting it stay open for several hours, I have also tried restarting my computer, but still no active connections.  :(

Open up a text editor and start over from scratch.

While saving as, select ALL FILES instead of .TXT file. Then typ Chipcoin.conf, and save into appdata/roaming/Chipcoin . That way you cant go wrong imho...;)

The blockreward will halve every 10K blocks. So at one moment the rewards will be almost 0. When that time comes we will do a transition to POS probably ;)

We have not contacted bittrex yet. We are just launched, and just got added to empoex and yobit within 2-3 days. Bittrex will come eventually ;) We also have our eyes set on cryptsy. Oh and c-cex would be nice




We want to make a profit of course, I would be lying if I said we didnt. But things are not that simple and not our main priority. To get this thing of the ground we will definitly need to invest time and a lot of patience before we are able to generate some profits from it ourselves. But that is normal. When you start up a new concept, you dont expect to earn money from it very fast, instead we know damn well that will take time and you need to invest money in the project instead of milking it dry. And we also need to pay out the shareholders at that time, so it will probably take a while before we are in profits from the casino project.  But we believe it is worth it  :)

All financial documents will be available for shareholders. We want to be as transparent as possible with the shareholding program.

Take the lowest MH/Day(x11) price from nicehash and multiply it by nethash (7500 mh/s). Then divide it by the amount of coins mined per day(~730k) and you'll get approximate cost per coin.

What about all the BTC casinos, and altcoin dice games  ??? Almost every coin has some sort of gamble feature ??? And the casino is still far from being completed and launched. So I dont really see a problem here. It will just be a service provided by us for ChipCoin. The coin's main focus is not the casino, but the hardware shop
