Title: Help with CGminer.
Post by: CoolAsIce on September 27, 2012, 06:52:08 PM
Does anyone know of a good newbie friendly walk through to set up CGminer? I am trying but can't even get past the part about copying/pasting the file then "Run the MSYS shell for the first time to create your user directory". Nothing is showing up in all programs except unstaill MingW. If anyone thinks there is a good guide for help, please let me know. I thank you all for your time! :D

What OS are you running? Is it a dedicated rig? If so install BAMT on a USB thumb. CGminer is already installed and configured. Nice pretty stats graphs etc. Saves messing about with Windoze or Ubuntu.

I wrote a guide to using cgminer with a.bat file on win7 - pretty easy, no compiling, just create a .bat file

I did write it a while ago, but info is still valid :)
bamt is great until you want to mine on your windows desktop... ;)
