All we need to do in order to fix every Bitcoin problem is this? Why not ask the creator them self? "Satoshi Nakamoto" clearly mined the first block called 'the genesis block" if we could get Satoshi Nakamoto to send Bitcoin from the genesis block with a public note addressing different Bitcoin dilemmas. How do you plan on asking Satoshi anything? The man has been gone/hiding for years. He doesn't want to be found or asked anything mate. I imagine that Gavin could be in contact with him though, if he is then Satoshi probably agrees with increasing the block sizes. But you or I or any average joe is never going to be able to contact Satoshi & ask him shit. He's in voluntary exile or dead :)

First of all he might be dead.
Second of all he might have lost his priv keys.
Third of all he threw a baby Jesus (bitcoin) to us and watching us without interfering. Will us kill it like Jews? Or we will make it live?

Yeah, he's like a god. And I don't think he's going to come here. (Also All the internet connection might be followed to catch him.) It's too hard to stay anonymous in these days.

I've thought about this myself. When I look at reddit and I see the never ending discussions of devs that cant get their shit together and end up coming up with a solution, I think "I wish Satoshi re-appeared dropping some common sense" but I guess it will never happen. At the end of the day the users will choose what they want by running core, XT or whatever.

Nevermind that Satoshi isint necessarily a person. It could be an alias, or a group, a compagny, a government... etc...

Members of Satoshi could already be here on the forum posting about possible solutions.

The creator is not necessarily better since this is a system based on decentralization, that use consensus.

Asking a single person to "fix everything" pretty much throw everything out of the window...

The Bitcoin created by the genesis block cannot be spent, ever. He could spend from any of his other addresses where Bitcoin from the first several blocks went and were never spent.

I thought the coins could be spent if anyone has the private key of the receving address for the reward.

He is a human being as well and could get perfect solution for every issue.


Genesis block is already mined. Even the creator could do nothing to it. He only can send message from the bitcoin addresses receiving mining reward for a few initial  blocks.

i can't quite figure out what you are trying to say.
are you suggesting that if satoshi sends a message from genesis block (his old addresses with old coins in it) then the problems of bitcoin will be solved?!!

or are you trying to say that satishi is no longer working on bitcoin and should come back officially and announce it this ways to fix the problems?!!

He could just contact Gavin or the other developers he knows, and assist with whatever problem he wants fixed. He should never access any of the mined coins or send any

message, this would just intensify the search for him/her/them.  ;)

How do we know, that Satoshi is not still participating as a silent partner to his project, under another alias? Let it be... it will work out in the end.  ;D

Nope, a quirk in how Bitcoin as a whole works means that the 50 BTC mined from the Genesis block cannot be spent at all.
Even if you have the private key of the receiving address, you cannot send it anywhere.

Good point. And very easy to complete. It was enough to have the Satoshi Nakamoto attention and everything is done. Remain to solve only a very little problem. Who will be this very wonderful and extraordinary people which will convince Satoshi Nakamoto to send bitcoins with the solving of the different bitcoin dilemmas?

I promise to do my part. I will continue to do my search and to write continuously about this thing here at bitcointalk and maybe Satoshi Nakamoto will hear my "voice". I will put here my bitcoin wallet address here in order that him have a place where to send its bitcoins with this thoughts. In this way we will have not the resolving of dilemmas but some bitcoins to. For him it will not be a problem. He have a lot of bitcoins.

But the thing is, a little dilemma is sometimes good for the community, it give us a chance to come away with a proper solution. That is how the evolution works.

I see what you are trying to say, but Satoshi doesn't want his really identity to be revealed, that's why he won't be signing any messages as you suggested. This is decentralized project, and I am sure Satoshi believes community will find a solution which the community will eventually do. He doesn't  want that a project like this has 1 leader because eventually this weakens the project. He understands that Bitcoin needs hundreds or thousands of leaders and that's why he won't do as you suggested.

coins from the genesis block are unspendable

no one know where he/she/group of people is/are, he could have dumped everything at 1200 peak, which would explain the huge dump

also the client is open source, you don't need its creator to do some change, but you need consensus for every changes, and a part from 51%, transaction time and tx limit, there are not other big problems

Satoshi has not been a though leader for bitcoin for a long time. Why does everybody think he will solve all problems? He has no influence at this point anymore..

Provide satoshi nakamoto level intelligent solutions to the problems consensus fails upon. Miners shouldn't have all the power, Nodes should have a say too. True equality.
