Title: Can I mix nVidea and Radeon on same m/board? Post by: tenakha on September 28, 2012, 03:04:07 PM I use a NVidea 260 for gaming, but want to do some mining too.
I have a spare graphics slot (used to run 2 x 260 in SLI). Could I install a Radeon HD 6970 and use that for mining in the same machine? Title: Re: Can I mix nVidea and Radeon on same m/board? Post by: RaTTuS on September 28, 2012, 03:14:30 PM no I don't think you can - things get confused [well in windows anyway]

Previous drivers didn't like to play nicely together, to where you couldn't have both on the same Windows installation. Now-a-days you can, and I know of several people on the forum here who do just that. Title: Re: Can I mix nVidea and Radeon on same m/board? I ran two 5970 and one 680 (in slot #7 of all places) as my primary for gaming and that's worked out mostly fine. Just had to move the display dongle for setting AB profiles then switch back.
