Title: Coinbase support? Deceptive "Live Chat" bait and switch?
Post by: LostPoet on July 29, 2015, 01:32:50 AM
I don't want to rage, so I'll sleep and come back tomorrow.

TLDR:

72 hours after being told a supervisor would get back to me, nothing.

I had to spam them on social media to get another automated/bot response that address none of my issues or concerns.

Circle has been great the past 6 months, no clue why I made an account with them.

Their "live chat" support is a bait and switch only available when you sign up or before your first purchase.

It's gone after that, for me at least!

You might want to just create a reddit thread about it or some others directly do their twitter.

If those things dont help, try the coinbase reddit thread. Usually they try to protect their reputation, so you`ll get answered.

But normally the purchasing process is based on their level of trust with verifications as well btw.

It's highly based on your level.  If you are new you will be waiting the day's it says.

Can I ask what the problem is?  I understand not getting live stinks, but what is problem that sent you to support?

What was the timing of the 72 hours - if it's been over this last weekend you can guess why the didn't get back to you right away. Instead of spamming them on social media, have you tried emailing or calling them and being direct about what's happened, your wait, your frustration, the questions you have?

Try to have some assumption that people are generally intending the best and you'll find that they usually are!

And if that doesn't work, forget them and open a wallet with Xapo!
