Title: 35 BTC JOB! eCommerce Website Needed
Post by: DavidGrant1 on August 01, 2015, 05:04:43 PM
Hello,

This is a job paying 35 BTC

I'm acting as an agent for my customer who requires an exact clone of an normal eCommerce website, the benefit of this job is the website already exists so it's easy to see what is needed, but it's quite an extensive ecommerce shop.

Short Brief:
A exact clone of an eCommerce website is needed, its a normal website no Bitcoin integration is needed. I don't mind if you use Open Source shop software to achieve it but I need it to look identical or as good (or better) than the current one.

The website needs to be identical and as user friendly as the existing one - i.e easy to search for products, and view them and order. All this must be manageable via the administrator panel so all the basic tasks such as adding products, editing them, adding pages, editing text, managing orders must be easy. Customer must get an email when ordered, these templates must be manageable via admin panel, etc. Basically I need a easily manageable eCommerce site.

Timeframe:
7 Days from acceptance

Payment:
Payment will be in BTC. I have the funds allocated and will move them to a wallet with a public label so you can see they exist. I will also release part payments as we reach milestones in the project.

Proceeding
Please contact me leaving your email address, skype, or any other way to contact you, and as to why you are the ideal candidate for this job, and any previous work you have done similar to this. There is a good chance of on going work after this project maintaining it too.

Please PM me and comment here when you have done so.

That's huge bounties !
Put the fund to the escrow man if you really serious about this project.
May I use PHP code igniter to design eCommerce  ? ( I may start designing only after you put the fund into escrow )

Good Luck !

I would suggest coming through with an escrow so people can take you seriously on that beginner account.

Hello, you will likely get more responses if you escrow the funds with a trusted member of this community.

I'm more than happy to escrow the funds I've not used an escrow service before if anyone can recommend a trusted one then I'll be more than happy.

Yes it's a large sum of money but my customer requires this at considerably short notice and the website although simple as it's only one category of products is quite large.

Edit: I don't mind if you use PHP software, Open Source or otherwise as long as the end result is the same, and it all works and as long as it will run on a normal server be it cPanel, etc.

DG.

Can you give us an idea of exactly which website you want to clone?

I know of Quickseller and monbux, off the top of my head. I can't find the post with a list of the trusted escrows at the moment.

If you escrow the whole amount (35 BTC) I will sure start developing this. I'll keep an eye on the thread.

If the right developer comes along and wants to use escrow and I can find a trusted service then yes, looking at those profiles the amounts are significantly smaller than this, or the alternative is that I'm happy with is to break the job down into milestones you can develop it on your own server so I cannot access or steal the source code, and as you complete each milestone I will send payments as we go.

I'm looking for an experienced developer, there is not much time for this project so mistakes would delay the project that's why it needs to be done right the first time round. So experienced people only please.

You can find all the trustworthy escrow in this thread Escrow List (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0) and since the amount is so big, I think it is better to use more than 1 escrow. Perhaps split the 35btc to 3 escrow, 11+btc each. I my self recommend devthedev & SebastianJu..

The problem is that your first posts here offer 35 BTC but require work without any assurance of pay. No one is going to start writing code for you without being sure he will get paid for his work in the end. Not quality code, at least. Of course, you will find kids willing to steal nulled themes from the Internet and install a eCommerce platform just to try their luck, but a experienced developer won't move a finger. Good luck with your project.

I daresay that the fact that the amount is being escrowed and can be possibly done in milestones is a good assurance for a competent developer that is interested and confident of their abilities. I would personally do it, but I am not capable enough with PHP or web in general.

I agree to you to a certain degree. With developers I worked with person to person they usually bill after the work is done. I'm happy to use escrow I have not brushed it off. I need this work done to a high standard if the worst comes to the worst I will exchange the BTC and put an advert on Freelancer.

Again if it's unreasonable to do milestone payments as we go along, it minimizes risk completely at once the developer sees I'm not some sort of mug and actually pay each and every time there shouldn't be a problem.

That or milestones via escrow? That would minimize my exposure to being ripped by an escrow provider and if you gentleman are saying no developer would do it without escrow then that is perhaps the solution.

In short yes I'm happy to escrow milestone amounts as we go along.
Or just send it straight to you each time we reach a milestone.

Whatever if preferred.

Looking forward to some developers getting in touch.

Seeing as your trust is awful, you should be using escrow as the OP is doing. Once the BTC is escrowed, you have your assurance, without being able to scam the OP.

The milestone idea is not bad.  But with being new you will need to put the BTC in a escrow.

You could set a list of milestones with escrow and who accepts it to pay X amount at X milestone.

About the eCommerce site - can you tell us anything about the way the site is built? Is it based on a WP site? Do the site owners want all the products added too, or are they going to do that? Do they have hosting, or do they need it?

Looks like an escrow vouching competition. :D

The funny thing is that, in this case, it does not matter which escrow trusts whom. What matter is, whom both the project owner and the developer trusts.

And very little mention of dev skills, so not much for the project owner to go on.

probably true, with such a lot of money involved at least we are hoping for more serious updates about current milestones, recent updates, etc. now its more like he offered a gold mine for us and then abandon it. no offense OP but if you give more time to taking care of your thread here im sure lots of great designers will take their chance to fulfill your needs
