Title: Contract Dispute subforum
Post by: stochastic on September 29, 2012, 03:45:15 PM
There are a lot of scam accusations in the scammer subforum that have to do with contracts.  People claim scam if one party of the contract is not fulfilling their obligations.  This might not be a scam but instead some kind of disagreement about how a contract is interpreted.  Users that have defaulted on loans would also go in this section unless they can show they are specifically scamming someone.

I said once I think Scam Accusations should be renamed to Trade Disputes, I think it would fit better. I've managed to resolve several situations amicably and I don't think for a second either one of the parties was a scammer, they just needed someone to help guide them in the right direction. If I had a problem and needed help, I probably wouldn't post in Scammer Accusations just because I wouldn't want to imply someone is a scammer just because we have an issue.

There should be a sticky explaining what a scammer is and what is needed for someone to be tagged a scammer.

Thanks.

To me a scammer is someone that purposely defrauds someone else and not necessarily defaults on a loan or breaks a contract.

This ^^^

the best plan can go wrong. For me a scammer is someone who did so intentionally.
