Are you trying to write your own pool software, or simply want to setup and run a pool of your own?

There are other pools you can setup as well. For example, NOMP (https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal), MPOS (https://github.com/MPOS/php-mpos), and of course, the guys who wrote cgminer have their own pool (https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool).
