Title: [EDU] Pro/Expert "Lenders" Required - Scam
Post by: Fishbones78 on August 05, 2015, 11:27:30 AM
So this isn't very necessary as it appears most of us are aware, but I've just seen someone that's just done a reversible payment method transaction (they got paid) with a known scammer. In other words, people can't afford to fall for this too, newbies especially. The scam seems like a wave, it will probably die out fairly soon.

One person (or a group of people) have been consistently asking for the following types of lender:
  • A PRO lender
  • A GREAT lender
  • An EXPERT lender
or something along those lines. The account user also never has collateral, which is another basic rule, don't lend without valid collateral from the other party. They can also be seen by the English grammar in the post. However, not everyone here has English as a primary language, so don't assume everyone that has a few mistakes is a scammer.

EDIT: The accounts also have very low post and activity numbers and are usually ranked Newbie, Jr. Member at most.

In short, DO NOT TRADE with these accounts.

Good initiative. I wonder how he/she believes they will get a loan with literally 0 in previous post count without collateral..

That's a good point, I'll add that in, thanks.
The scam stands out like a sore thumb, but new people can't see it and end up losing out, like the ManyMonies guy (that's not his name, I can't remember what it is, sorry if you're reading this  :-\).

Yeah. This scammer team asking loan without collateral has totally hijacked and take over full lending section.

Yes it has, from numerous different alt accounts. It's probably a wave that will disappear though I think.

A fisherman who doesn't get any fish tries another pond. ;)

The problem is, the fisherman has caught fish.

you're basically telling those people to make a better excuse the next time they try this. 99.99% of the members here already know that those users are going to scam.

it might be obvious to the majority, but theres nothing saying that a small minority group of new users wont fall for this. on the bright side, manyproofs doesnt come online every single day with his alt accounts.

That's a fair point, however, 0.01% of people who don't have been seen. A few people have told them about their obvious trends in there posts, and they have ignored them. If they were to change the way they word their posts because of this warning post, there would still be a few fairly clear warnings they they wouldn't be able to (or it would hassle to) change.

I'm tired of seeing the so-called "pro lender" fools like ManyProofs and his gang hijack and spam this section. It's a shame newbies are falling for this.

On the flip side, hopefully someone doesn't go against me because of that.

Bro, don't you think that forum admin or moderator should note this issue and keep some limit over it.

I think newbie rank members cannot be given access to lending section till they reach to particular rank like member rank or a full member rank.  This will decrease the bunch of threads posted by newbies asking no collateral loans to just spam the lending section.

I think that would be a good idea (although I'm only a member :P). It seems that so many Newbies haven't read the stickies about loaning at all, or even read the titles of them, that give a little information at least. They then just do exactly what you said. I just had a message from a newbie telling me to not "interfere" with his request to buy BTC through PayPal. I've asked to buy BTC with PayPal myself and could still chargeback a few of the transactions I've made with people for BTC a little while ago on the forum (I don't plan to, but you can't take my word for it because it's easy to lie), so doing something like that would be blocking out some genuine lenders and traders.
