Hi there.

I opened a thread about that topic before here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1136181.new#new and here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1140600.new#new .

This is for crowdfund a potential activity counter bot. It runs on php so everyone can easily set this bot up on a webhosting or on your private computer with XAMPP or some other localhoster software.

I created an escrow address for that at: 0.1BTC needed in total.

The developer created a testversion at http://www.satoshiquiz.com/bitcointalk/getactivity.php but please note that this version is only for crowdfunding and will vanish again. It is limited to requests for accounts of up to 100 posts and to 3 requests per ip each day.

I tested the script with my own account too so it will work with big accounts too later. The only thing that needs to be done then would be to to raise the maximum script execution timeout since the forum only allows 1 request each second. So when you have a big account then it will take some minutes. If you have 200 posts then you would have 10 pages of posts that the bot has to check. That means it would take 10 seconds.

The script shows the posts counted per timeframe and in total and the potential activity.

It checks for forum loading errors, that are quite usual at the moment, and handles such errors.

Feel free to test it on http://www.satoshiquiz.com/bitcointalk/getactivity.php and if you think that this script should become open source then tip until the amount is filled. If the amount if full and someone tips even more then i can only send it back when you can sign a message from the sending address. Otherwise it cant be proved that you sent it.

its great i always wanted a feature like this but sadly it did not tell me the results for my other account which have around 110 posts and also when i tried 2 times it did not let me try for 3rd time so in this test version maximum you can use it for 2 times not 3

I don't exactly know why people would pay 0.1 btc for something that just counts activity, I made one in about 5 minutes on my server and here it is

Just replace ID with your bitcointalk ID and it does it instantly. The ID there is my id, and you can see it gave this response:
It gives your post amount, activity, rank, your username, and your address (if you put one) and I could add more if you wanted. Like email, skype, any information on the profile is easy to get.
This could be useful for signature campaigns, cause you can just feed it the ids, and it could automatically information like their posts and email and skype or whatever.

What happened when you tested it? It might be that many tested it at the same time so that the bot ran in the 1 request per second timeout and the request failed.

Which is the correct result for my account at that time. I tested it with different accounts and the results are correct.

Activity and potential activity are two different things.

The developer added a new option and it shows now a breakdown of where the posts happened. Like in stats.

In case you want to test it would be best to use accounts with relatively view posts so that its ensured that testing will not collide with other testers and the requests to the forum are too many

Please note that the developer asked for a deadline at august the 12th. If the needed amount isnt met until then then he will lower the price and sell it to individual interested persons. I guess it would be more expensive for everyone then.

Ill send a pm to account traders that i know from escrowing now. Maybe some of them are interested in tipping. :)

Im sure it will. I know a lot account traders, because me being an escrow, so i gave them a heads up. Im sure it will get filled. At the end its not a huge amount so... till the 12th it will get filled.

I tried this Bot a few days ago, before I was member and it showed correct potential value (56). I tried it yesterday and again it showed correct potential value (70).

Any more account traders interested of getting their hands on this script for a very cheap price? Think about it... if you buy a version for you alone you would pay way more than a small tip.

No, it will become open source, which means everyone can use it.

But even when someone tips 0.02 or so, it would still be cheaper than having to buy a bot or a licence for such a bot individually. ;)

I used the generator and it say i have 28 potential activity. It is crowdfunded now. When will you release the source code? Will there be a guide to teach us how to use it?

I will update the initial post now. Then get in contact with the developer and ask him how we could make this available for download the best way.

I will release it as soon as possible. And i will try to find a guide on how to set it up. At the end it is a simple php script, as far as i know.

How does he get around the IP ban problem?

With one request per 2 seconds. The forum allows 1 request per second but 2 are safer. Can be changed in script anyway.

In case the bot can not load one page it will throw an error.
