As theories ran wild, many quickly pointed out that other block explorers did not show this transaction.

It was fairly harmless in this case, but could it have some malicious applications? Blockchain.info should get it fixed as soon as possible. These wallets were created in 2009, when the Bitcoins were worth next to nothing. Even in 2010, the exchange rate was like 1$ = 0.0008 BTC. Those guys who did the mining in 2009, probably threw away their coins. |
