Title: Freebitco.in faucet - Has anyone rolled the top prize, 10,000?
Post by: Possum577 on August 08, 2015, 08:21:49 PM
Hey, so for those of you that use the faucet Freebitco.in, has anyone rolled 10,000 to win the top prize?

I've rolled the 4th highest prize, currently at BTC0.00074261.

Has anyone won big in their lottery?

I'd love to know the top wins others have made. Especially since the sites stats imply that some people are getting some very fat payouts.

For those that scoff at faucets, we don't need you trolling here.

For those of you new to faucets I have a referral link in my profile if you're interested (I'll share winnings back).

I'm on faucets daily! I wondered the same. My favorites are typically the ones with cool music and of course the games. Like Lucky Bit and Plinko.

Op, you seem like a reasonable man, and yet you really think 10.000 satoshi is worth something? You realize that opening post you wrote is worth probably more than 10 times 10.000 satoshis?
Please stop acting like faucets can give you anything more but dust. Only person who profit from faucets are creator and maybe referrals, thats it.

I saw a similar thread last month. So far I have not seen anyone mentioning winning the top roll. I think it is impossible for anyone to roll it.

OP wasn't talking about 10,000 satoshi. Freebitco.in rolls a random number and if it lands on 10,000  then you get the jackpot prize, which is well over 10,000 satoshis. His post said he won the 4th largest possible which was 74,000 satoshis.

You've never been to this faucet, have you. You should check it out (there's a link in my profile.)

The roll or spin of numbers goes up to 10,000. If you hit 10,000 you win about 75% of a bitcoin, it's at BTC0.74 today for that top payout. Then there is a lottery to earn more each week, it's not bad!

You should do some research before blowing it off or making inaccurate comments, join us, check it out from my profile!

I don't think that anyone has actually hit the maximum. I myself have only reached the 4th prize. Of course, if you use their multiplier, you can get your winnings to get pretty high.

only rolled a 9989 :(

This is also the 4th highest prize.

So no one so far has won more than (current rates) ~74,000 satoshi.

Has anyone won in the lottery they established in the last 2 months? I like having the additional option to win. Their stats for the site are crazy, some people have one some serious coin but it must have happened when the price of bitcoin was significantly lower than it is today.

There's a similar thread posted last year June - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=655762.0. If you look at all the posts... No one ever rolled the number 10 000. I do think it's possible but it's just the matter of luck.

You're lucky to win 0.00074261 BTC from them. I only manage to roll the 5th highest price two time.

Hey, thanks for sharing the link to the other thread. I wasn't aware that there was a conversation about this from last June (in fact I may not have join this forum at that time.)

I definitely feel luck for hitting the relatively large or relatively small (depending on you perspective) prize. I also have over 1,000 rolls. In theory if someone had 10,000 rolls they should have one roll hitting 10,000.

I'd love to talk to someone who's hit large on this site...even if it was back in late 2012. One thing that's interesting about this faucet (and probably others) is that the payout rate changes with the price of bitcoin. The higher the price of bitcoin the lower the payout. So when bitcoin was trading at $200 the lowest payout was 1,000 satoshi. I know it's still dust, but it does increase incentive to play if you're a "roll and hodl" kind of person.

I read the other thread from a year ago, no one there admitted to winning a prize higher than has been won on this thread...disappointing. But I DO wonder how long people played for. It's easy for people to try it for a month, not win big and give up. But you need more time than that to get a good sample size in.

One new thought I have, given that they have a lottery no and the lowest payout on the lottery is in the 150,000 satoshi range, would it make more sense to buy lottery tickets with a week's worth of faucet "earnings" to increase the payout level? (although not the probability)

Well. I spent more than three month believing I will hit the jackpot... And i gave up the month they introduced the lottery system. Well, I purchase around two hundred tickets for round one lottery. Around a thousand for round two. Stopped playing on round three - saving up to buy big on round four. Bought more than a thousand ticket for round four. Did not won any lottery. Eventually, I stopped playing at FreeBitco.in. I only roll once every week or so.

In my case I used to get 70k satoshis in one claim from them back in my newbie days. Didn't remember the roll back then. Other comments here is just for signature campaign especially those wasteoftime replies. So far away from OP's concern. They didn't know freebitco and how come they can hit a comment like that.

About the lottery, just play with the faucets and don't expect the lottery. Its just that while you are claiming there's a free ticket. Just get the free and don't buy one.

You have 2 chances to win 0.7 BTC in this faucet guys and gals... The lottery ticket price is super low, so it's not a bank breaker at 0.00000029 BTC per ticket. Even though the

OP have asked trolls not to comment, with their "Faucets is a waste of time".... people still do it... weirdest of all... some have not even visted the faucet to see what it offers.

If you play the normal faucet... and you lucky number is 10 000 -- You WIN +/- 0.7 BTC --- If you use your faucet earnings and you rather play the Lottery, you have a weekly

chance to WIN another 0.7 BTC. Now what is bad about that? If you have referrals... and they use the faucet, you do not even need to use the faucet, because you are

automatically entered every time they use the faucet. If you pull up your nose for 0.7 BTC .... you do not need the money.. then do something else. There are loads of people

who would do anything to WIN 0.7 BTC.

Best of all... they guys have a donation to charity feature... and proof of payment.  ;D

I'm sure many people have won the grand prize with a roll of 10,000. Realistically, 1 out of every 10,000 faucet claims should be the jackpot.

On another note is freebitco.in still a large faucet? It used to be the best paying one a while back, however people don't seem to refer to it as a go-to faucet all that much anymore.

I had just assumed it was a regular faucet where you get a thousand satoshis or less and that's it, but then I noticed the roll was over 0.7 too
Thing is, I had already decided it was a fraud. Do they even say what is the prize in the lotto?

You get what you pay for. In freebie I.in that means about 4 cents  worth of dust for a week of steady traffic

What are you going to do? Lol

I used to go to this one jackpotfaucet.com that supposedly had monthly jackpots of about 0.6
They just make up winners
It'll never be you
At least they had the decency to stop even paying the weekly faucet payouts

They do redirects on your machine and sell your ip as traffic I think

Can't see how else they make any money
Even if they pay the minimal

even it have 0.000001%

but i dont think that they will give that amount of bitcoin..
but imalso win once in the 4th place..a month of inactive then rolled once..
then win the 4th pace in that time its 0.00075 in exact..

It looks like the chance is 1/10000, but i'm sure the chance is much more lower than 1/10000
I never heard or see anyone roll higher than 9994

I've played this site in past, but only got 4th place at most

Ok, that is on the Free Roll option per roll... and you can do that several times a day, so it improves your chances as you roll more.  ;) {Each roll rewards you..so it's not for nothing}

The true value comes in, when you play the lottery with your free roll payouts, because that increase your chances even more. { 1 of 10 prizes to be won }

Every time you use the free roll option, you also get 2 free entries into the lottery. I just used my free Satoshi's from one roll to buy 27 lottery tickets and I got 2 free tickets

for claiming from the faucet. That makes 29 Free lottery tickets, every time you use the faucet. So you spend no money to participate in a lottery.

This is actually more fun, than anything else.  ;)

Each roll has the same probability of rolling 10,000 - it's 1/10,000 or 0.0001%. That probability does not increase with each roll because each roll is independent and each roll is out of the same total amount of numbers (i.e,. 10,000).

I agree with you that it's more fun! And I didn't know that they give away free tickets if you buy some (although I'm not surprised at all). I also like how some people that win the prizes in the lottery don't have hundreds or thousands of tickets...some people win with just 40 tickets! Which makes me believe that anyone can really win the lottery.

This is definitely the most fun faucet I've participated in but i'll confess that I haven't played any others in months, so maybe something new has come along with better payouts and better probability to win top prizes.

Here is one of them winners https://www.eobot.com/user/96438 (https://www.eobot.com/user/96438)
They have no accounts on Faucetbox or Microwallet at the time, I checked all of the winners and the result was the same.
Jackpot faucet is no good I dont claim from there any more.

I actually posted the eobot link on the Jackpot thread it got deleted.  ;D
But here I am posting it again this time it will stay up for sure.

I've been visiting it a lot recently, there's an app and when I'm watching tv... I saw the new lotto and it was the first time I noticed the jackpot roll system.

They do just make up the winners, I checked out each and every wallet that got the jackpot.

Ahh so another scam banking on the hopes and dreams of others? Well it appears this is a trend.

No, this is not a trend. This is a habit, more scammers will be born everyday, every hours, and everytime. 8)

The thing is with freebitco.in is
They give you 2 tickets every roll
But they never say what the lottery prize is.
The roll of 10000 that gets you 0.7 BTC isn't the lottery because that's where you get the tickets
No where do say say either;
1. When the lotto is
2. How many tix you've accumulated so far
3. What the lotto jackpot even is

It's misleading but they actually haven't promised you anything besides lotto tix
For a lottery that can never be won
Because it will never happen
And there's no prize to give out

As far as rolling 10000 goes
It's been omitted from the basic code

Excellent traffic building strategy
And obviously very effective

It's like a "scratch & try" ticket
Which I saw once in Tijuana
It doesn't say "scratch & WIN"
So f#%k you. Haha

They do say it. After you login, there is a tab for lottery. They list out the amounts for 1st through 10th prize, the timeframe for the lottery, how many tickets you have, and tickets you can buy.

Are you even on the same site, it's actually so easy to understand. There is no fixed Lotto prize... It starts at 0 Satoshi's and it grows as people buy tickets. The average

trend, after the last couple of draws, was 0.7 BTC for the biggest prize and then smaller amounts for the 9 other prizes. The more tickets being bought, the bigger the lotto

prizes will be at the end of the week. The lotto draw generate the winners on every Sunday.

Please share with us, the source code for this faucet, as you stated for a fact that the 10 000 number was omitted from the code. {I do not see this on Github} We need to

verify your claim.

Faucets are nothing but a waste of time IMHO. Only person that earns on faucets is the faucets owner who directs traffic to it for ads to be seen. Faucets are ment to give us som satoshis when we were newbies, to see first hand how Bitcoin network work, nothing else. However, many people have made this an earning opportunity which is not.

using the faucet 3 times a day for a chance to get 200$ isnt a bad idea nor is it a real waste of time... sitting and waiting everyhour is however :)

Unfortunately i do not agree with you.
I'm a faucet owner of 2 faucets.
And I'm so far the only one who is losing.

I'm losing satoshi...and time.
But I am earning fun.
Yes I have fun programming and managing my faucets and all my sites in general.

Now...if all the people who have during all the 20 years I offered cash waste their time...this I cannot say.
it's perhaps like for me a hobby?
is a hobby a waste of time?

You will perhaps read my post.
perhaps have you wasted your time? earning nothing.
During this time if you had claimed a faucet you had won perhaps 100 satoshi... :)

Sometimes I go searching mushrooms...
I often find less then 50 grammes...
Have I wasted my time?

I play poker...do I waste my time?
I write here...
Do I waste my time?
I do believe not...Why should I write here if I believe that I waste my time?

You want more examples? (lol)

I have not waste my time writing this post...but in the meantime I had could earn 5000 satoshi on faucets (lol)

My second time to hit the tier 2 earlier. My highest tier so far lol. I just visit to check my referral status and then I hit that tier. I will not stop to use this faucet. For a week I claim here at least 5 times for a total of 3 minutes. Free tickets for every claimer's claim plus giving me a passive dust of 50-80k satoshis automatically a week good for covering transaction fees.

Each roll has the same probability of rolling 10,000 - it's 1/10,000 or 0.0001%. That probability does not increase with each roll because each roll is independent and each roll is out of the same total amount of numbers (i.e,. 10,000).

The probability of rolling 10000 is in fact just 0.5/10000 or 0.005%, because according to the site, the number is generated by converting a 8-digit hex hash string to a decimal number and then dividing it by 429496.7295 and rounding it off to the nearest whole number.

Sorry to resurrect a two year old thread but I've been thinking a lot about the FreeBitCoin 10,000 roll and I'd like to understand how the probability is calculated.

I know little (not a lot) about hashes and hex strings, so maybe someone could please explain exactly where the number 429496.7295 comes from and why this brings the probability to 1 in 20,000.
Seeing how nobody here ever heard of a 10,000 roll, it is often suspected that the real probability is much lower, more like in the billions.

I can't tell you about the chances of win the jackpot, I don't understand about programming, but many people here heared about a winner once. There is a print here somewhere in Micro Earnings section and some people talking about it.

But it's true that for the number of FreeBitco.in users (thousands), the number of times the jackpot appeared is too low. Maybe the faucet users are too unlucky?  :)
