Yup! Minergate only will be the good option. Because of peak difficulties of LTC, DOGE, BTC and some other coins, its really hard/impossible to mine with PC. Even though you use minergate, you'll mine/earn just dust beacuse, of your PC's config. You might try some mining hardwares like USB block erupters, etc.,

I hear that mining is no longer profitable. So dont waste your laptop power mining bitcoin. Litecoin and dogecoin is also very bad to mine.

Well you can start mining, but the question is will you mine anything!
Don't waste your laptop on this. There are other ways of earning coins and better concentrate on that. If you do try it, the chances are you will probably burn your laptop and end up with nothing at the end.

I have the same question "wish I could find a table to just plug in and boom".

I have a Windows 8.1 Pro i7-4820k CPU 3.70ghz Desktop.
12GB RAM
64bit/ x64 based processor

NvA-GeForce GT 640

What can I realistically mine?

Internet speed 211 down/20 up sometimes 22.

Are those tables auto set to detect your settings or am I supposed to change the values?
