Title: Indian Air Force humiliates the RAF

A simulated war-game was conducted between the RAF and the IAF, during the recently concluded bilateral military exercises between the two forces. The Indians were using SU-30MKI Flanker fighter jets, which were designed in the 1990s. The RAF used Typhoon FGR4 fighters, and the war-games were held on RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire (United Kingdom).

The results: the Indians beat the British 12-0.

Maybe one of their cricket judges was keeping score?

No surprise here. Britain has been cutting the defense budget for many decades, to the point that its armed forces are barely capable of conducting warfare operations. It was not a Typhoon FGR4 vs SU-30MKI Flanker fight. By any measure, the Typhoon is a much better aircraft when compared to the Sukhoi MKI Flanker.

"Sukhoi su-30Mk1: Russia's best" that's pretty funny as the SU-30Mk1 is an export model built exclusively for the IAF, therefore never been used by Russia and not as good as the domestic SU-30SM model and not even close to the SU-35 or to the coming PAK-FA fighters.

Do you know about these stupid 'super' carriers? They're basically giant aircraft carriers that we're likely never going to use in actual combat unless we somehow manage to piss off the Chinese and the Russians. I really think part of the reason the UK army is so shit right now is because they're spending stupid amounts of money on these projects in order to 'create' jobs to make the economic numbers look good. So instead of actually training skillful soldiers and pilots and getting up to date equipment that will actually be used they're pissing away taxpayer money on these giant projects that make no fucking tactical, strategic or economic sense.

Gotta love the neo-keynesian bullshit these guys pull.

Why would they need skilled soldiers if they are dealing with immigrants, sucking their social benefits. They are losing the war without a single shot being fired.

I think that's the same for much more countries. Defense budgets have been decreased over the years. I think only untill 1 or 2 years ago, countries began to see that the world is not as peaceful as they thought it is or was. Or was it was earlier. Although I don't like to say it, I think in the current world we need to increase these budgets again. Unfortunately.

I'm surprised by this. Wish I could find more details, because the Typhoon is an excellent aircraft, better than the Russian ones. The data on the article clearly confirms this. You just need to look at the speed. The Typhoon is 20% faster, so the British pilots were always braking not to leave the Indians guys biting the dust.

Typhoon is a superior aircraft. No doubt about it. But the problem was that the RAF pilots lacked the skill to operate them. What is the point in having a $150 million fighter jet, if you don't know how to use them? The Brits need to increase their defense budget. The recent cuts have affected the long term survival of the armed forces.

The question isn't an increase in budget it's the allocation of it, as I said, we're wasting lots of money on these ridiculous projects that are hardly ever going to be used and we should be spending money instead of training except my point clearly went over some poeples' heads.

One feature that the typhoon lacks is thrust vectoring nozzles.
That reduces its agility.

SU30MKI is heavier, but is quite agile due to thrust vectoring.

The initial post is misleading, the engagements were many and in only one of them the Su-30 MKI did perform very well,
namely in close dogfight, where the Indians, having learned how to use the thrust vectoring, have indeed soundly beaten the Typhoons.
In a previous Red flag the same Su-30 MKI were beaten by F-16s, because they used the thrust vectoring the wrong ways.
In complex scenarios however, the Typhoons did well, but this does not excuse the mediocre dogfighting skills of the RAF pilots.
