Yes, the Challenge does not require you to deposit any real BTC. You get 100 virtual BTC credited to your account. Nevertheless, the rewards are very much real :)

We're quite sure that what virustotal has found are false-positives. The app was compiled on a clean install of original Windows 7. You may compile our app by yourself (from the source) and check that virustotal will give the same warnings as for our file (which will prove that we didn't "add" anything). Anyone wants to help us with the audit?

The Riskware.Win32.Crypter.dpjgbl is a false positive - it's detected in a number of popular programs (like GnuPG version 1.4.19, which is included in our binary, from ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/gnupg/gnupg-1.4.19.tar.gz ), cf. https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/ff4979980b00773c414c3cd5571eae8cc3916d3607e9621400f0302f1e138882/analysis/ ).
The WS.Reputation.1 thing means "Symantec doesn't actually see any virus" (cf. https://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2010-051308-1854-99 ).
