Out of interest, because i wondered about some people having thousands of successfully reported posts, i tested if i could report the same post more than once. And really, going back to the report form, it shows a growing number.

Im not sure if this is only temporarely and fixed later but it looks to me, at the moment, that you could report a post as many times as you wish.

That wouldnt be a problem except it seems this number is an important indicator for becoming a moderator.

Only a headsup. I would not misuse this but others might.

If there are duplicate reports, I mark the duplicates as bad, so that's not really an issue.

If someone made a habbit of reporting the same posts over and over it'd be noticed and we'd know something was up.

I doubt it. Its not satisfying to mess with the mods like that. We dont even know enough about the front end they use to handle the reports to know whether thats annoying at all. There is also no reaction besides maybe if you are extreme a ban. It might be a way for someone to try and raise the number of reports they write, but as hilarious points out this would be noticed.

That's another problem. Some posts which is obviously a spam post (like ref links), and there maybe more than 1 user reporting the same post at the same time before moderator handle it. Will all reports marked as good?

Reports by different users on the same post for same/similar thing get marked as good.

there was this one time where a guy spammed 500+ reports with multiple alt accounts. wasn't really a problem for me though, because I made a script in 90 seconds that marked them all as bad. :p

You really shouldn't even have to do that. If there are multiple reports on the same post, then once one is handled, SMF should make all of them as being handled....I don't see why you would take one action based on one report and then take another based on another (maybe it could display all of the comments for all reports for a post when you are handling a report on that post so a moderator can get "all" the information being reported regarding that post).

If SMF is not currently capable of doing this, then maybe this should be added to the requirements for features of the new forum

Haha, great. I already expected that i messed up my percent rate but it seems that didn't happen. Though when i think about it. Either a moderator was nice with me, because of the thread or can it be that my reports were marked valid automatically because another users report was marked green and all related reports too with it? Or does moderators see all reports from all users for a singel post in one place together before marking it as valid?
