How does one would use this, assuming it work, without moving to a fork?

Can't seem to find the changelog to see if this really has support for bigger block sizes. They used to post it on github, but can't seem to find it, any links?

Oh noes. Not the Chinese breaking MORE things? xD
Hmm. Think about it, if all of China switched to it.

Lately I've read about that, Chinese miners wants bigger blocks. But I don't remember the source, it might not be reliable.

It's not a stretch, bigger block is a common feature of interest. But regardless. With the money the Chinese are making, i really doubt they would coalesce and jump on something so hazy. It's not like they aren't making bank already.

I believe the major Chinese mining pools agreed on an initial 8mb raise, from the 1mb.
But that was over a month or so ago. Who really knows what they will do and when they will do.

That would be horrible, our posts count would be invalidated. ;')

Yea, sounds dangerous to begin with.
I won't risk using other client than core.

Afraid of a little competition as usual?  Not just scared of allowing the market to decide when it comes to a fork, but also scared of people posting in a competing thread?  It's reassuring to see the lengths you feel you need to go to in order to defend your interests.  I can't help but think you wouldn't be trying so hard if you weren't threatened by it.

I think I'll stick to this thread.  It doesn't smell of fear and desperation like yours does.   ;D

Is Theymos not on the side of larger block sizes? I haven't seen any post by him about the subject recently.

Judging by his recent comments on /r/bitcoin, I'd have to presume he's at least not in favor of this fork.

When the network split scheduled?

When the network split scheduled?

There isn't a set date.  It happens automatically when enough nodes are running the code to support the larger blocksize.  It's difficult to predict exactly when this will happen, but several pools are already pushing for it:

Hmm, so if it pass, there is no way to trigger a mandatory wallet update to prevent both chain to continue?

Forget the word "mandatory" talking about bitcoin.
Everyone has a freedom to choose a fork.
...aaaand yes! You can choose both forks and double your coins! ;D

There has been wallet updates labeled "Mandatory" before. And it wouldn't be double coins, the exchanges would be on one or the other. If both live it'd be BTC and BTC+ and it would crash the value of one if not both.
