What's the best price for profitable mining? The best price is definitively "free" electricity(of course). But for operation where you have to pay by kWh, a good price is 0.03USD~/kWh. Anything less than $0.10/KWH seems to still be good for mining based on today's btc price and network difficulty. It bump up to 6cents~CAD if you use more than like 30kWh per day, so its really 0.04~0.045USD/kWh. I'm pretty sure nuclear is more expensive? Here we're all on Hydro electricity. Effective and Clean ;) Those that get 3~ cents are prolly some weird places, poor places or ... China(?). xD I read some quotes saying China pay 3-5cents. So it all make sense heh. i would say that you should aim at 0.05 for a fast return of your investment, the lower the better this is obvious... |
