Title: Thank you
Post by: freedombit on August 11, 2015, 06:46:09 AM
Not sure where to put this, but I just want to thank each and every one of you on this discussion board. You are all vested enough in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to spend time learning, teaching, arguing and agreeing about the many facets of this fascinating technology. We are creating the roadmap to a future that could not be fathomed ten years ago. This is happening and we need every brain we can get involved.

Arguing and agreeing

Ah yes, how relevent this part of your post is right now with the block size debate going on.

I never thought i would be interested in half the stuff i now read up on compared to before discovering bitcoin.
There really is some great ideas going on ATM and the blockchain technology itself is looking to change the way money is spent/ kept or transfered in general.

Let's just hope the scams and bad press doesn't ruin btc before it has time to show its true potenial.

One questions i have thought of is with all these banks looking into blockchain technology for there record keeping ect, and knowing they can use there own version of the blockchain (centralised) may this be how bitcoin will kill itself?

Really not many people in the real world care where there money is kept or who holds the keys, just as long as it's safe and secure and most importantly insured.
All they care about is that will they be able to transfer it with little fuss and no fees if possible.

Bitcoin is driven by passion and processing power. The passion will not die, though it may be split. The processing power will continue with the passion. So I find it highly unlikely that Bitcoin will "kill itself." Let the banks start their own versions. Each chain will have it's own meaning, and I suspect the chain with the least regulation for the most protection will thrive the most.

Oh, how lovely! I like thank you gatherings! Don't thank us though! Thank the power of money, bitcoins, and stock exchange! We are all here just trying to make some kind of living. The road is hard and bumpy though.
