I know you will say Mobile Numbers are not on your ID .. but you can easily be traced and screwed later if police catches you by IP.

And I cannot understand why someone cant use own number or neighbours number if he is not doing something wrong, plus a newbie account .. moreover paying 3$ rather than asking neighbours for a quick sms code is itself saying a lot :(

If you use a IP changing soft. in mobile then it changes the IP when you surf on web, but the govt. officials can always view your real IP. Anyways you are free to get in trouble for 3$ :)

SMS isn't traceable by IP as far as I can remember. It is traceable by geolocation if the user enables the gps option from his/her phone. You're correct, risking your privacy and yourself in the process for a small sum is not worth it (but hey, who doesn't want to get $3-$5 in just a single verification process lol)
