Title: Wierd Behaviour on Antminer S5 Post by: gerardo15 on August 12, 2015, 12:29:50 PM Hello guys, so i have by now like 10 S5, i bought them at different times so they probably are different batchs but i have noticed this wierd behaviur in most of my S5
Has it happened that at some point of the day one blade will shut down for lets say 5 minutes, and then turns it self on again and continue to work? i have had to sent to Bitmain 2 broken blades because they stopped working, so everytime i see one blade shut down i kind of freak out. I got the Used Antminers yesterday and also happened before to me that you turn on the miner and after 5 minutes one blade stop working so i have to do a hard rese ssh reset won't fix the issue This has happened in all firmwares, but i just updated to July 11. Sounds like your net connection is dropping out. (since the psu's you use should be good) Also did you over clock or use standard clock. I'm hoping its a firmware issue and not a blade thats ready to crap out. (left one) in all miners. the 8 port switch may prioritize its ports and if you get short bandwidth it cuts it to the port for that 1 miner. Is there any way to confirm if its a network problem. so if its how can i solve it? getting new router? getting new swtich? upgrading my internet conection? If your miner loses internet connection it may reach high temperature due to fan is not in charge.You may loose one or both boards. If a board is broken or not hashing you can PM me and I can describe how to check the board. Miner is water-cooled, It is only this blade connected to the controller board. Other blade is mining at the same time with different controller at normal speed. Each controller has its own fan, and a 4 pin power cord. I know with the water cooling kit you have to extend those, and my first thought would be that something is wrong on that end - but if it was exhibiting that behavior before, then it could very well be the blade. If you have a couple S5's, then try swapping the BB/controller, and see if that makes a difference - on one of my S5's, it was getting really high error rates, and when I swapped BB's, the error rates followed it. Ended up just getting a replacement BB from Bitmain and it's been working fine. Basically I've found the best way to troubleshoot this stuff is just to swap the parts around - just make sure not to get them mixed up and confused. Since everything is pretty interchangeable, it usually doesn't take too long. The second blade error rate is only 954 time 1d 4h 27m 7s at freg 381.25 hashing speed average 626.40Gh/s So totally with 2 controllers is it at normal S5 speed 540.14 +626.40=1166 GH/s |
