Title: How to create a new wallet via Multibit and then deleting the old wallet
Post by: kingofbitcoin on August 12, 2015, 04:50:51 PM
I have one wallet I don't to have it anymore.
Do i need to create a new wallet first, transfer the money from my old to new wallet and then delete it ?

Give good explanation. I have gotten some BTC from an illegal trade (regarding arms trade) and want to delete the traces. Please be fast.

Yes, transfers your funds from wallet A to wallet B and then delete wallet A (i wouldn't delete it tho, just in case). Never export import wallets, not safe.

So creating wallet B, will not automatically delete my wallet A ?

If you want to anonymize your Bitcoin, then just sending all of them to another wallet of yours is not very safe. You should use a mixing service. They will make it more difficult to trace the Bitcoin.

My other wallet no one knows which one I have, yes they can see in blockchain.info where the btc has gone, but that does not confirm that the wallet is mine.

But yeah a mixing service would be great, still I think the guy that sent me the BTC used 6 different wallets to send the amount to me, so he has dissappeared by now.
