Sounds like a good tournament but as with all the big prize tournaments there's always a catch and which is why I don't take part in these sort of tournaments and if I am not mistaken a player needs to download the software to play any games at all, right? Which means it is not for me, I prefer to play in browser. Thanks and good luck to others.

there is no catch in these , you enter the tourney for free but there are rebuys and add-ons so people who has money in their cashier will have a kind of advantage
but it's always great to take free shots

If by 'software' you mean any kind of add-on or plugin for your browser or even complete new client then it is no big deal to be part of tournament of such caliber.
I am usually reluctant to install anything too, but if software is proven safe, it is a small price if you want to play imo.

But how many hours consecutive you managed to play? My longer poker session is 7 hours

Skygambler is right. There is no catch, you register and you play. And yes the "problem" are the rebuys. Players with a decent bankroll can play a much more agressive game, playing more hands and betting harder, and it is very hard for someone that can't or does not want to rebuy, do well in this tournaments, but it's still possible. You can try to take advantage from the loose players and get a good stack if you choose your hands well and dont get a bad beat.

Anyway if your problem is the download of the client, then that is something enterly diferent. I knew someone at my college that did not want to install the drivers from nvidea, because he was afraid that they might be controling his activity on his conputer... (he could be right, but everyone has it's own paranoid)

Pretty good offer indeed, will try it out. But the rebuys are the problem, allows for more aggressive play.

Sad thing is its only for American players only. I don't use vpn or a proxy lol

I have problem with that software to open poker room it stuck on loading and after a long time it still on loading, is i only have this problem?

In order to correct this situation, please note that our cardroom requires certain ports to be available in order to connect to our server; by default many firewalls block any programs from accessing the internet.

Due to this, we would like to know if you currently use Norton as a Firewall. We suggest you check your Firewall settings and allow Americas Cardroom within the authorized programs. Your Firewall company most likely has chat or phone service and they can guide you to make enable all the access.

Please make sure you have the latest version of the following programs:

- Java
- Flash
- Internet Explorer

After you have done this, please follow the next set of instructions:

If you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer:

1) Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools
2) Click on Internet Options
3) On the General Tab, in the middle of the screen, click on Delete Files
4) You may also want to check the box "Delete all offline content"
5) Click on OK and wait for the hourglass icon to stop after it deletes the temporary internet files
6) You can now click on Delete Cookies and click OK to delete cookies that websites have placed on your hard drive.

If you’re using Mozilla Firefox:

To delete cookies Firefox 2.0
1. Select "Tools"
2. Select "Options".
3. Select "Privacy".
4. In Private area click "Clear Now".

If you’re using Google Chrome:

2nd. Open any folder from your computer. Then:

A. Go to tools
B. Folder Options
C. View Tab. Once here you need to:
a. In advanced settings expand the Files and Folder options
b. Expand the hidden Files and Folders
c. Make sure the show hidden files and folders option is marked.
D. Hit “apply” and Ok.

3rd. Uninstall and reinstall Americas Cardroom. Before reinstalling you need to:

A. Go to Start in your computer.
B. Click on Search
C. Choose the all files and folder option
D. Submit Americas Cardroom as the name of what you will be looking for in your computer.
E. If you find any file or folder that has Americas Cardroom in it, delete it.

Once you are sure that you have deleted anything that has Americas Cardroom in it, reinstall from the following link:

Any reason why these tournaments are not available through the Betcoin poker client? I just logged in through there, and couldn't find any of the mentioned freerolls. After downloading the ACR client, however, it did appear. Does this mean we can only play through ACR? And if so, can we still withdraw via Bitcoin any winnings we may achieve?

Yes, you can make deposits and cashout by BitCoin, your cashout request takes 24 hours at the most or less than that.

I have a suggestion and I hope you will work on it in the next series ( if you are going to make it happen again )
the payout structure which rewards only top 109 isn't good in my opinion , if you make the payout normal then this would be great for all
the players who are building their bankroll they will have a good chance at least to min cash and the people who rebuy will be going to play like it's a normal tourney
it's really tough to achieve something in these tourneys even if the players rebuy cause the payout structure mainly rewards the final table

Indeed it is an excelent promo that is intended to help bringing poker back. The series is open to all players with an ACR account, whether or not you’ve ever made a deposit.  Simply register for the tournament and you’ll be sat at a table with a starting stack.  You may then choose to add to your stack with a rebuy and add-on or just fight it out with the chips you receive with your initial free entry.

Remember we that today is the last day of the Series.
