Anyone else find this downtime unprofessional?

I don't know wth is going on, but there's some additional discussion about it here http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/10xtqg/glbse_the_biggest_bitcoin_stock_exchange_just/.

I already filed them under 'unprofessional' for working with
ponzi scheme operators.

I have to wonder at the judgement of anyone that thought they were professional to start with.

It's looking like individual companies will have to run their own securities now.  Which is fine, since it's 1 less entity to trust.

That would cut down the risks involved with a centralized trading site. There are private investment ops floating around, but it's hard to compare to the selection you have with the GLBSE. Also, investing in private securities would make it more of a headache to diversify, iow there's a need for a market.

I disagree with ppl who claim that the offerings on there were mostly scams. There a lot of legit offerings, and I really hope we can get the site back up and continue trading.

There is going to be more than just a little downtime for glbse.

Probably a little jailtime and fines for the operators too.

GLBSE is closed. People have been asking that Nefario be tagged a scammer over in the scam accusation board.

There is also cryptostocks.com and ltc-global out there, I'm not sure what went wrong with glbse but I've personally preferred the other security sites more if nothing else than for their simplicity.
