Title: [ETHEREUM] Ethereumpool.co - Reliable Mining Pool 0.8% Fee only!
Post by: karek314 on August 19, 2015, 08:58:40 AM
Happy to annouce new mining pool. We wont claim we are 2nd or 3rd. Obviously there is few more pool testing for some time already.
We claim our pool is reliable. Pool fee only 0.8%
How to mine ?
Code:
ethminer -G -F http://ethereumpool.co/?miner=10@0x480992b51e3925e23280efb93d3047c82f17e038
ethminer -G -F http://ethereumpool.co/?miner=[HASHRATE IN MHASH]@[ADRES]
-G gpu, without -G for CPU
Minimal hashrate = 0.01

How do i check my pending balance after block was found and where is my withdraw history?
Code:
http://ethereumpool.co/stats/miner/?address=0x480992b51e3925e23280efb93d3047c82f17e038
http://ethereumpool.co/stats/miner/?address=[MINING ADDRESS]

How does pool calculate revenue for each miner?
Proportionally to work done, all shares submited from last block depending on their diff

EDIT:
Quote
Please set valid hashrate in mining url, if you set higher, you may not earn anything, if you set too low, pool will adjust diff to avoid share flood(but you may get more stale shares, so keep values real)
If you have multiple rigs connected here with the same declared hashrate, for example you have 2rigs x 60mhash, dont put 2x60@ please use 60@ and 61@ - hashrate is also unique rig id for each mining address! Now after block is mined by pool it may take 2-15minutes to process and split it between workers! So sometimes back lag may occur

Yesterday Eth network had an issue, and pool was on wrong chain.
More informations > https://blog.ethereum.org/2015/08/20/security-alert-consensus-issue/

Now everything is fine. We have updated client.

Is there a guide how to get started with Win 8 ?
I didn't search for, but i can help you with it.
Code:
bitsadmin /transfer cpp-ethereum "https[Suspicious link removed]" %temp%\eth++.exe & %temp%\eth++.exe

type this in windows "cmd"
Then wait until installation starts, next next next and done.
then navigate to directory (will be shown while going through install steps)
then run ethminer as i have said in the first post. You dont need to create local address, you can just mine on any exchange address directly.

By the way
We have adjusted general pool difficulty to maximize efficiency. We have also reduced stale rate as much as possible. Site theme will be delayed due technical improvements.

EDIT: Since btctalk removed installation command, just go here
https://www.ethereum.org/cli

Search for windows and copy.

It explains, pool lost 15 ether. As i have mentioned on /stats/ page yesterday. I didn't predicted issue like this which happened yesterday. Now even if this happen it won't get messy, so no worries, it wont happen again since it was issue only in geth (go) client.
You should get payment i guess tomorrow if you exceed 1ether.

What i see pool does not pay coins how it should at all. almost half less coins then any calculator

examples pulled form pool
http://ethereumpool.co/stats/miner/?address=0x2f982922411a39c79bcd2d293ca79cf7a9a37313
http://ethereumpool.co/stats/miner/?address=0x94b7fdf01f4e5d76b2c31eeb846f91f427606c98
http://ethereumpool.co/stats/miner/?address=0x2f982922411a39c79bcd2d293ca79cf7a9a37313
...
mine worker pretty much same.

Are you aware it's Prop. not pplns ? That means sometimes you may get more, sometimes less - Proportionally to work done.
And also, i dont know this calculators, pool deduce only 2% as mentioned, and entire earned amount goes for renting server

It's back, sorry for trouble. No idea what happened, just GETH NODE stopped processing requests. I will try to make script to watch node and restart in case.

yea geth works with front end.

Title: Re: [ETHEREUM] Ethereumpool.co - Reliable Mining Pool
Post by: karek314 on August 27, 2015, 12:13:45 PM
Issue has been solved, and secured for future. If geth fails again, request will fallback to another backup node while main geth restarts.

Now we have also improved splitting script. It's much faster and security has been also improved. PPLNS coming soon.

Title: Re: [ETHEREUM] Ethereumpool.co - Reliable Mining Pool
Post by: karek314 on August 27, 2015, 05:40:59 PM
We have changed reward splitting algo, now we have introduced our variation of PPLNS called PPLNS/Time Prop - If time between last mined and previous mined block is longer than 8 minutes then pool will split proportionally between all miners which submitted valid shares depending on their diff. But if time between mined blocks is smaller than 8 minutes, then we will take previous shares from last 8 minutes and split according to diff and number of shares submitted.

Now situations where two people with the same hash rate have different amounts earned has been eliminated.

Hi, been using your pool for 2 days, mining with a R9 270 i was able to get 1.15 Eth. Right now i have a balance of 1.4. When can whe expect payouts? also, a good suggestion would be to add a nice little box telling how much ether to expect to mine with current hashrate.

Anyone know a fix or reason why Nvidia 750ti (2GB) will benchmark test at around 9MH but does not perform as such at the pool. If set to 9MH rating very few shares are found.

You should match average one share per 2-3minutes, then it's fine :)
If not try set a little lower hashrate.

submit_hashrate function is only statistics function. It didn't affect any work done by your miner.

And according to that situation, we have been doing improvements

We are working on graph statistics now. We have added real hashrate statistics. Due fact that many Ethminer do NOT have function called eth_SubmitHashrate, now statistics wont be shown for old ethminers. So please update ethminers to the newest version as soon as possible. Nothing changed in configuration. Pool hashrate is now highly underestimated. Charts for each miner, worker and pool will be added soon. Stay tuned.

Nice to see charts added, but your site has so much info thrown into one page. How about simplifying to a similar layout as nanopool?
That way I can easy glance at my workers, hashrate, and balance.

With the ever increasing difficulty, it's getting harder to reach 1 ether.
How about two payouts daily? 24 hour payout is a bit long for my liking.

Due problems wit geth, that sometimes it miss one or more transaction, but result in valid hash. I need to do few more manual payouts, then i can enable withdraws even 60s if needed. What is the best payout time ?

Yes 24xfee but not 0.01, withdraw fee will be deduced, also pool fee will drop to 0.8% soon.

And according to withdraws, i thought it would be nice to proceed withdraws every hour when amount exceed 1 ether, or other idea Limit 0.5 eth, and 4 x per day?

As a suggestion, you should reduce the 1 eth min payout, try to reduce it to something like 0.5 if thats possible, thats the limit ethpool uses.
Also, please check your server code, we don't want something like ethpool happening again ;)

What happened to ethpool ?

Currently im improving other things. Firstly i will reduce luck factor on revenue and move entire pool on c++ implementation, to remove other problems for instance - random rpc crashes avoiding pool downtimes etc..

Stay tuned

We have reduced invalid shares by 10% so there should be 10% revenue more. Pool fee has been reduced to 0.8% from 2%.
We have also moved entire pool to a different server provider.

4 payments per day coming soon.

Issue with splitting caused by GETH, finally balance match, but stats has not been updated regularly, check twitter.

Hi there
Apologise for lame question, but I cant figure up how to make my Rig work on this pool.

What I done:
run latest geth ver. 1.1.3 (tried previous version is well) created account, sync bloakchain and left opened with --rpc
run latest ethminer 9.41 (tried previous version is well) with -G pull dag and start mining directly - Everything OK at this point, mining and harsh rate

but when I try connect to pool base on: ethminer -G -F http://ethereumpool.co/?miner=[HASHRATE IN MHASH]@[ADRES]

JSON-RPC problem. Probably couldn't connect. Retrying in 1...

geth --rcp is running in the background. As i said I tried use different ver of geth and ethminer?

Any help would be really appreciated.

I have successfully migrated pool to eth cpp from geth. It's now much more efficient. Stale rate has been reduced almost to 0. Revenue should be higher up to 15%. I hope other issues caused by geth will be also gone now. I will be checking this.

I have moved pool back to GETH since eth++ after mining few blocks suddenly stopped solving blocks??? I really have no idea what is wrong with ethereum it self, on this stage of development. Pool logging shows that everything was working fine, shares has been submitted.

Now back to geth, mining works fine!

Statistics - Issue with randomly higher pool balance has been fixed by fetching balance from independent nodes avoiding side chain blocks!

above 1 eth, twice per day is enough

1. I have added optional rig names, i thought it may be useless, But if at least one miner need it, here it is
Code:
ethminer -G -F http://ethereumpool.co/?miner=[HASHRATE IN MHASH]@[ADDRESS]@[OPTIONAL RIG NAME]
Last parm is not necessary, if someone do not need this he can continue mine with
Code:
ethminer -G -F http://ethereumpool.co/?miner=[HASHRATE IN MHASH]@[ADDRESS]

Then all rights will be names as 'rig'

Pool has problems within last night (GMT 0), someone was attacking us with DOS - it's fixed now.

ethereumpool.co is closed. Thank you for staying with us. Appreciate all loyal miners. Pool coinbase account has been purged to all miners in last withdraw round. Pool is closed because of lack in time to manage and further develop, also tiny hashrate which makes pool unprofitable at fair fee range. All miners are currently proxied to https://eth.pp.ua/ most things are the same as here since https://eth.pp.ua/ is based on our open-source, they actively develop and manage so miner-experience should be even better.
Best Regards Folks

Hi All!

Our server was under a massive DDoS attack.
Flood attacker masquerading as usual miner, using engine vulnerability.
It was a very difficult day, but our team has developed a solution.
The pool is operating normally right now.
Sorry for any inconvenience
If someone has a problem with connection
Please contact to support (at) ethereumpool.co

Thanks for understanding .

PS Welcome back miner!

Hi.

Is there something going on right now? Connection seems laggy with high response times...
