Ahhh Chivalry. Some say it's dead!

The Age old Question. When a guy uses the bathroom he lifts the seat...when he is finished should he put the seat down again?

Women complain that they fall in when we leave it up or complain that they have to put it down.  So guys Leave the seat up or Down?

The Second part of this question should be : Should Women lift the seat for the guys when they are done and return the favor?


I'm not sure why Women fall in..shouldn't you pay attention when you have to sit? I know i check when i have to.  ;)

A shared bathroom, I always put it down. Guys only without a urinal is down as well.
I know some guys wives make them sit!

My house, my rules. Her house, her rules. A host's home, leave it the way I found it regardless of what transpired during my brief or extended visit.

I have respect so I always leave the toilet seat down.

if in netral territory leave in the way that will cause most trouble for the one coming after you

Seat down, and do not forget to wash it, wipe it.
That goes for the toilet seat also.

I lie in the majority side. The toilet seat must be down or it would mean that you are not yet finished. So would you like to exit without getting done ?

My wife: would you please leave it down when you finish? Me: Why should i lift it in a first place and then put it down again. I'll just try to aim better.

At home: Sit down regardless of pissing or shitting

In public: wipe the scumbag's piss off from all over the seat, apply ~5 layers of TP on the seat, sit down

In bars: toilet seat irrelevant. pissing on wall and pants.

In someone's home: piss even if the seat is down.  seriously how hard is it to make it in the bowl, goddamn

It's easier to wipe off the seat than the rim. Whoever really cleans the toilet should be the person lifting the seat, with gloves on, and cleaning the underside splatter. Anybody else touching it, barehanded, is unsanitary.

I was a LITTLE kid the last time I could pee sitting down on average-sized toilets.

seat down after using a shared toilet not only because of woman use it with seat down but also because of many people like to still warm when they sit down to poop

I place the lid down. And the cover down, if anybody wants to use the toilet in my house, they have to lift ether one or two lids. Take half a second, and everyone ends up equal. Nobody has ever whined about that arrangement. Unlike the other one.

Funny thing is, iam, as a man, have put it down always. My girlfriend though don't like that and wants it to be up because you don't have to make it up all the time then.
