Title: Is Ethereum the ultimate centralized dirtpile?
Post by: Robin,Hood on August 20, 2015, 04:54:01 PM
Headquarter
Ethereum Switzerland GmbH, Grienbachstrasse 55, 6340 Baar, Switzerland
Available capital CHF 20'000 (about $ 21,000)
Managing director, CEO  Alisie Mihai Valeriu, Romania
Joseph Lubin is the COO of Ethereum and is former Goldman Sachs
Stephan Tual  Admin, CCO of centralized Ethereum

As it is not a cryptocurrency coin (by own admission) why is it listed on Coinmarketcap?
Will Coinmarketcap soon list ever software company?
Why does it not have the Premined stars (**) on Coinmarketcap?
Why does Stephan Tual (aka Stoat) Admin, CCO of centralized Ethereum GMBH troll Bitcointalk?
Why lasted the 2000 ETH ICO for 14 days (2x7)?
Why did the presale last for 42 days (6x7) to 2nd of Sep. not 40 days (end of Aug. or 50 days, or a month......)?
Why did it linear decline for 28 days (4x7) from 2000 to 1337 ETH?
What is the significance of 1337 ETH (last ico price) other than 1+3+3+7= 14?
Why no giu wallet so only about 10% of available coins can be traded?
Why is there unlimited ETH supply?

..........
Fact is ETH can't do anything else other coins (like NxT, Qora....) already can do for a long time.

Sure, some transparency on this coin is needed.

Yes but l33t is not a number between 1000 and 2000.  1337 is and 1337 is leetspeak. You can google it if you don't believe me.

missing the illuminati link there. I'm sure they're involved :D

on a more serious note: the only really interesting thing about ETH is Augur. too bad they chose ETH chain for their service instead of an established one

Could be, but it's really up to the community to build layers and layers, I think it's very promosing, you can build a system to decentral governing, without the possibility to corrupt because of the blockchain... alot can be achieved :)

They couldn't use anything else to execute the type of antonymous smart contracts they need. They literally waited for Ether to happen, since it was a needed tool.

more ICO dirt info
18,733,855 ETH where purchased with 200k ETH or bigger chunks (including the 3 highest with one million each) ~~72 buys
21,035,775 ETH where purchased with 20k ETH or bigger chunks, roughly 300 buys (not individuals)
16,648,309 ETH where purchased with 2k ETH or bigger chunks, roughly 2365 buys (not individuals)
3,606,132 ETH where purchased with 0.2k ETH or bigger chunks, roughly 5120 buys (not individuals)
78,145 ETH less than 200 ETH lots, roughly 1150 buys (not individuals)

Top 100 addresses (not people) own 40% of ETH's

At the end of the day all meaningless as only the central headquarter knowns how many times a person clicked the buy button for any given amount of ETH crap

Is the tech as groundbreaking as they act??

Are other coins Turing complete? Is ethercoin?

ETH has lots of potential but the developers themselves say there is a lot of development work ahead. It could be several years before the true potential of the platform can be seen.

Thats part of the point. It is a intentional clusterfuck from the very beginning. Ethereum wants to be the AOL of crypto.
The block reward is static (fixed) and equal to 5 Ether forever. 7200 blocks per day x5 Ether-per-block. = 36,000 ETH/day
EtHash is the  algorithm for Ethereum it derives (hybrid) from Dagger-Hashimoto, is memory hard, you'll need at least 1+GB of RAM on each GPU and best run on Linux. You also need "ethminer" to mine.

The bottom line is Ethereum is inherently flawed, there is nowhere near the innovation it was hoped for so strategy changed to application platform. Other coins are way more innovative. "fuel" " is worthless, efficiency seriously sucks.
Paycoin 2 in the making  pow->pos->dump the load.
