I have one question , what are the estimated earning that you are getting for now ? daily , weekly or monthly and are you losing from electricity , I assume it's not hard as bitcoin since it's a new alternative cryptoo currency Title: Re: [Tutorial] How TO Mine Ethereum in 5 Minutes Post by: BeastBTC on August 21, 2015, 06:55:59 AM This guide is to show you how to mine Ethereum in 5 minutes, easily, from start to finish! I am earning about 1 ETH a day, now, my card uses about 250 Watts, so for me its almost all profit, heck, maybe $20 a month for me in electricity, but I don't plan to run mine 24x7. Maybe see how many ETH I can get, and hope they rise up. And I updated the article to support multi-GPU's which not many people know how to do. I just started Solo Mining on ethpool and could use some help... My hashing seems to be constant at 20mh. I see the Get work happening every new block... But I sometimes, I see some shares with the message SOLUTION FOUND! then Getting Submitted AND ACCEPTED to ethpool.org. Is that a block? Or just a Valid share but 'maybe' not 'worthy' of the difficulty? How can I know i've really hit a block?? Could you please enlight me? Can anyone find the tutorial? Or would this guide (https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/2860/quick-set-up-guide-for-gpu-mining-on-windows-10)essentially be the same if I'm running Win7? Title: Re: [Tutorial] How TO Mine Ethereum in 5 Minutes Post by: Mr Bungle on November 06, 2015, 08:12:06 AM I can't seem to find it, either, tried yesterday, too, link/page seems dead ... nothing at that site,
I'm looking for Ubuntu walkthrough, and also some info about storing the resulting mined ETH in a wallet, or how that works. It appears it is somehow stored online, was looking to see if it can be kept in a wallet like BTC or LTC to keep it securely away from the mining rig, once a good amount is accumulated. Any suggestions? Bitcoinhopper, something is definitely wrong with that link, I am not sure if it is trustworthy, I do hope I'm wrong about that... The original link posted by Beast is dead, tried it a few times and got a blank white screen and loading icon continuously spinning for a while it looked like it had stopped loading after 2 seconds leaving me looking at a white screen, but something was definitely loading or going on behind the scenes, as it never timed out... next thing I know, my browser was hijacked. I am not sure if it came through clicking that link, Has anyone else had a similar problem with that link? The only other sites I visited outside of my normal pages that day were the link at the begining of this thread, coinbase.com and poliniex. I know the latter 2 are safe. Can anyone check the link to the btcpool.com for malware, and is it a legit site? I spent 2 days trying to get rid of the trojan on my laptop, even had to get into the registry to get my computer back to normal. Anyhow, I hope it didnt come from there, I just cant think of any other foreign or new sites I had visited in that week, except the 3 I listed. Thanks Title: Re: [Tutorial] How TO Mine Ethereum in 5 Minutes Post by: chup on November 21, 2015, 08:38:23 AM Please let us now how much you earn.I got my R9 270 mining monero, but it is making not enough to cover electricity. According to this calculator (http://badmofo.github.io/ethereum-mining-calculator/) You should be earning around 20$ a month with one card, so same situation. No profit, but fun. So mine what You believe in, for support, for fun... ;) Title: Re: [Tutorial] How TO Mine Ethereum in 5 Minutes Post by: Arrakeen on December 04, 2015, 02:32:35 AM Here's another tutorial (http://cryptomining-blog.com/5323-quick-guide-on-how-to-mine-ethereum-on-windows/). You need at least 64 bit operating system. Your graphics card is too old. It is just the "block" for the small task sent to you by the pool. It is valid share. Some times, the display will show something like mined a block. If yes, how many hash i can get from 1 core? Title: Re: [Tutorial] How TO Mine Ethereum in 5 Minutes Post by: bctmke on December 09, 2015, 03:27:22 PM Is it possible to mine Ethereum in 1 core xeon vps? If yes, how many hash i can get from 1 core? You COULD. You wouldn't earn much. I have two older CPUs mining away because why not (and because I'm waiting on replacement GPUs). I earn in 30 days right now approximately less than .5 ETH (yes 1/2 of one) as I'm pool mining. I'd never find a block solo that way. It is basically not worth it. I just keep them going for the sake of it until I can get a little hash going. Title: Re: [Tutorial] How TO Mine Ethereum in 5 Minutes Post by: bctmke on December 09, 2015, 03:58:08 PM If you're running windows you can pick up some real simple clients here:
https://github.com/ethereum/webthree-umbrella/releases It'll install quite a few items but really if you're mining to a pool all you need to run is the ethminer client (which is packaged in here too). Do some reading here: https://forum.ethereum.org Look at the mining subforum and you'll find a number of solid pools and each pool generally has instructions that will help you mine to that pool.
