Title: How can I support CORE and NOT support XT.
Post by: Thenoticer on August 22, 2015, 06:54:27 PM
Is it enough to just run a node (dl the full 42gig blockchain) or do I have to be a miner?

To be clear, I want to contribute to core not XT.

Just run the node, made it accessible from the outside and you're done.

if you want to contribute in this stats : https://getaddr.bitnodes.io/
you can only just launch a full node of Bitcoin Core with the file named " bitcoin.conf " :

Code:
disablewallet=1
server=0
daemon=0
maxconnections=20

But, you can mine, too ... like with P2Pool system (no need to login, you can use the anonymity of the bitcoin adress to receive the reward).
