I want to create a faucet with increased payments based on refferal count.

I need help with development and promotion.

I have a limited budget of 5 BTC for this project

You can get it to the top of faucetbox.com's list by giving a single payout of 10000 satoshi to anybody through the faucet.
Of course this will get you crazy amounts of users, be ready!

Make it stand out, and not just a crappy redesign of a standard script. Faucet game sites are far more popular compared to others.

You want to learn the best ways to promote o faucet or want help to create one. Other thing tell the title and other thing tell the post. Anyhow. For the creation I can't help. For the promote the best ways are the clasical one. Publicity. A particular one can be the signature campaign which can be very resultative here at bitcointalk where are to many people which have to do with bitcoin and want bitcoin for free.

You can promote your faucet on Top Paid to click sites which provide visitors for really cheap prices.

You should put it on a multiple faucet rotators, some people on this forum has some faucet rotator sites iirc and you should contact them. Putting it on a PTC site is also a good option :D

Advertise it on mellowads or a-ads, the rates are so small you will get a lot of hits for a very cheap price

You can get a lot of decent traffic by advertising on adbit.co, and cheap.
Just make sure to check the sites you advertise on first to make sure they are valid.

Make your faucet unique, u can do it by the upping the payment amount in compare with other faucets, or make a 150% refferal bonus, so it is kind of refferal system and not a faucet. Make it without pop up ads or flashing ads! No virus links and that kind of shit! Then u will have a good faucet, and a 5btc budget is high, u can make quick ROI on a faucet :)

Make your faucet a stunnable one like Freebitco and Bitcoinaliens does. PTC's will be help too especially those popular PTC's like NB and CS. If you have local forum in your country that will be help too and it is really a big help. Majority of my faucet referrals came from local forum. Goodluck on your faucet.

Content! You need to make your faucet different than the rest. Once you have that, minimize the amount of ads, and make sure there are ZERO POP UPS! Customers hate pop-up ads. Once you are there, then add a referral campaign and payout at least 30% commision. Other faucet owners are always looking for new faucets that are original and have good referral payouts.  This is what I did with the faucet+dice site I made, and it's been doing well.  Good luck!

First you can promote your faucet by add in faucet box list,after make a request to add it on ifaucet.net
With this sites(faucetbox,ifaucet) I receive about 1000 unique per day with a dogecoin faucet.

Development shouldnt be a problem, you can use a standard script as people generally just pay about the payouts. As the person above me said, getting into the faucetbox list and i-faucet should be good but if you have a high enough bankroll you can offer a medium to high payout in 2 or 3 minuites, if you do this with high refferal bonus you wont have to promote your site yourself, your users will promote it to get refferals. I've seen this done multiple times but if your bankroll isnt high enough, users might drain the faucet

You can get minium of .5$ per 1000 views, with 1 ad. So if u set payout to 100 satoshi and u get 1000 visitors, u have .5$ -.22$

But if u want a good payout (500 satoshi or above) u need at least 3-4 ads to cover your costs(not including hosting+domain name)

You can advertise your faucet on PTC sites, putting in on rotators (you can see a lot on micro earnings section ) and promoting it on different bitcoin related forums.

Where are you getting minimum $0.50 for every 1000 views on one ad? Which ad service?
Currently I'm making the most with adsense but I'm making less than that.

I'd advertise through a-ads, bitmedia and coinad. make sure to highlight your affiliate system and payout rates... if they're competitive

one of the best ways of promoting your faucet is what you are currently doing (putting it in your signature). but to really attract more traffic you have to be different than other faucets. like paying more or have good features like lottery or dice (like freebitco.in)

Agree. Make people revisits your site not only because of faucet claim. You can input other activities there like the examples above. Just think out of the box mate.

One thing with faucets is if a user wants he can easily create a bot to pretty much drain your funds, I would steer away from faucets and think of other new ideas

Afaik, you can prevent that from happening by logging the IP of the visitor and implement captchas for the prevention of bots.

Build a website that people want to visit because you have compelling content, and then add a faucet.

Even a news aggregation site with a faucet would do well I think, but I could be wrong :)

To promote your faucet, get on the great faucets lists. But how u get there? Well, make something special in your faucet to make it UNIQUE!

That should be your main goal, then profit will come easily!

I would try to make a sister site with the well known one and become partners.

Pm that person, and insist to unload the work off their hands. Eventually get big, and then get ad revenue from it which is the goal I assume.

Or just take a harder route, start it on your own and then promote and buy a ad placement on the forum from admin does each advertising round.

i think changing the captcha provider that you are using would help prevent this.
that simple game one is getting popular where you have to click on and object or drag one to another point.

You can post your faucet to other forum like bitcoingarden, altcoingiveway, etc
or if you have your own local forum, you can spread it out. Don't forget you can share on media social also ( Facebook & twitter mostly )

i think you should make a features of faucet is unique, offer some high rate is good idea too but you need to
synchronizes with your ads network too.
