Only a few give life to that idea. You can not tell "I am the first person to come with this idea". Therefore, you can't reserve rights for an idea.

If its a good idea someone will copy and steal it. That's just something that happens. It's really difficult to come up with an original idea but even harder to get funding. I'm sure it could work very much like the old fashioned method of mailing yourself a sealed copy in a post-stamped letter. Great idea to use the blockchain for this.
