Title: I'm thinking of starting a dice website and I want suggestions.
Post by: Enzyme on August 24, 2015, 10:02:00 AM
Hi Everyone!

I'm thinking of running a dice website, security is my utmost priority.
Other than that, what would you guys like to see?

Give me your suggestions and you may be tipped when released. (If your suggestion is helpful)

This is your chance to have a dice website you like, so suggest. :)

A website with original graphic.
But with this strategy: there are 10 boxes,8 max coins inside, more boxes you bet more is the multiplier.
It's an original way to think at a "dice " site like, but if you like my idea I will explain it better

If you can provide a feature(s) that other dice sites can't dare to offer, I'll be there. :D
I always love to try out new dice sites with unique features.

Here is my suggestion to help you out: How about a chat bot that hands out few coins (only to wagered users), then set a limit for the eligibility for the prize.

I guess use the MoneyPot so people don't have to worry about safety or provably fair and apart from that make it beautiful but not bloated. Also, make sure you have good enough funds to promote it, firstly with giveaways to entice people and get them to come at your site and then to be able to afford a signature campaign so people who don't visit this section a lot get to know it too. And last but not the least a lot of patience.

the 1 thing you need to think about IMO when releasing a site is a high max win. if you have some crazy low max win youll never attract any bettors. 5btc minimum would be where id want to start

A few suggestions to notice:
1. Have a strong security (SSL etc.)
2. Have a good provably fair scheme.
3. Performance is important so the rolls should be fast enough.
4. Keep a simple yet creative/attractive design.
5. Auto-bet (bot) feature with lot's of options is always nice. You can then release an API for people to use at will as well..
6. A faucet would bring more people in your site (since they will be able to test it without depositing)
7. A jackpot feature would also bring more people.
8. Have some kind of promotion.

ill second this; by creating a moneypot app, youre pretty much guaranteed profit as an app developer, and there is also no need for you to drop hundreds of btc into bankroll. one tip; try to find the middle ground between visual appeal and resource usage.

You need to know that a dice website is a website to gamble not a charity to sponsor your gambling habit and make you rich. What you are asking is merely more into sponsoring you to gamble which is not feasible thing to do. Moreover you need to differentiate between a gambler and a beggar which of course you fall for the later category

P.S : no hard feelings whatsoever , Im merely stating my honest opinion :)

This seems to be almost the same concept with minesweeper game, neat indeed.

To be honest there isnt many things that you can do to a dice website. You can try to put in the most convenience and unique features there but still people would choose some older dice site to gamble ( this is the truth ) .

If it aint broke dont fix it imo - you should probably copy the already successful sites but try to do it even better. If you offer an ivest option it gives you chance to have a big bankroll sooner but how good are you with other peoples money should be the question you ask yourself.

Chat feature is a must, fun promotions is a must.

I guess sometimes moneypot also down too whn it comes to safety, this is code so it is not possible for someone to hacked it but somehow they can manage it fast enough

Also, make sure you have good enough funds to promote it, firstly with giveaways to entice people and get them to come at your site and then to be able to afford a signature campaign so people who don't visit this section a lot get to know it too

I dont think signature campaign is needed to promote your site, there is site that didnt promote their site by using signature campaign and they are good too

All of my saying is you just need a good graphic, autoroll is a must and the last one is speed. Without a good speed players are too boring to play in your site so keep your site in a good speed and whale will be coming right to you

The bitcoin dice market is over saturated, probably by a magnitude of 20x or more.

If you aren't going to make something brand spanking new that another dice site has.. don't do it.

If you're desperate to get into the game, do it via acquisition of an existing, long-running, site.

My only advice would be to stay away from Dice sites, because at the moment there are probably 50 or 100 sites out there which are nothing but dice gambling. Try another type of game.

+1 on making it a Moneypot app, as MP will handle all the troublesome things (eg. site trust issue, bankroll size, provably fair system, bitcoin deposit and withdrawal) for you, and you can focus on making your site work better and look better.

i would follow that suggestion as well, even if op was asking for advice on starting a dice site. there are so many types of gambling games that are currently untapped in the bitcoin gambling market, it wouldnt hurt to probably go to a real casino and take a look around, maybe get some ideas. entering the online casino market with a completely new type of game is something that would almost certainly guarantee you a good start with a playerbase eager to try out your game.

Some giveaway contests and jackpots seem to be a good trend to start advertising your site and get people to play on it. I would suggest the jackpot as thats what I personally prefer.
