I think Crypto currency is the way of the future and I will definitely be investing in it. My time my money and my passion. I think as long as we all have a passion for it and we keep evolving it forward no one can take control of it period. With that said, you bet I am going to create another coin.

The entire current Dogecoin dev team came on board after launch (i.e. we picked up an existing coin to work from rather than launch our own) after the founders both left during 2014, when Doge launched the entire market was smaller, and it had no premine or ICO.

Mostly though, learn from our experiences, launching a coin is the easy part, keeping it up to date is much harder.

What I am looking for is a couple of people to assist in getting the website up and running and formatting some of the content on it. Also helping get the marketing side ready to go. I have the coin already created and the back end nodes all ready to go. The Genesis block has not been touched and there is no pre-mine on this coin. To mention it is also an X11 algo so everyone except the Asics will be able to take part in it. I wanted to make this as it is a project in which I am also learning about how stuff works and I truly enjoy doing it.

I changed the title of this thread because I realize ICO is a BAD term to use and I would prefer not to get a bad wrap with the community before I ever go public.

The word you're trying to spell is "shill". There's no "r"

You should be more specific. Programming language, specs, INNOVATION(S), paper draft, graduated devs or just experimenting...
That's mainly what's needed to attract devs and potential investors around your project.

Ok, gave a look at your project on github. If you are indeed cloning a coin there is a lot you'll have to change in the code, ed25519 regarding Key Pair for example, change mining system with an innovative one, change the blockchain design etc...

Some times ago, straight cloning a coin had chances to work (but mostly on short term), now it's harder for cryptocurrency developpers to be considered serious with a project based on BTC code, as it's not yours and so, not easy to improve and maintain.

I'm also passionned by cryptos and cloned a lot of coins for educational purposes, POW, POS, second gen.. So I'd not recommend to.
If your main objective is to build a cryptocurrency to hit the top market cap with big user base (like every project out there). You need a from scratch project with INNOVATION(S) and it's really hard to achieve.
