It looks like they are still getting them on - https://www.antpool.com/poolStats.htm  I could be wrong but I think that is today's date.  Had my time off they are not showing blocks for a good period this is odd.

It is interesting that if you look they lost around 5 PH in a day on last block shown.  That could be temporary.  But that is a lot to lose to variance.

Maybe they are installing a bunch of new miners in S5 slots... hard to say why that would effect pool though.  Should be seperate.

that is 9 hours and 17 minutes ago.

I think they are doing something with xt or bip100 or bip101

You are correct sorry about that I am wrong.  I can say I have PPS on that pool on some miners and it's still getting paid.

Is anyone based on blocks still getting payment showing it going up?

While I agree it is suspicious it can still be variance. For example block 357700 on May 23rd took them 8h 20 min at 65 PH while difficulty was about 10pct lower.

Hashnest S5 (PPLNS) last paid block is 371425 (the one ~9 hours ago) as far as I can see in my transaction history.

Keep in mind the time zones when looking at the payouts. Timestamps are UTC I think.

I'm not in as deep as you but am a bit miffed also. The amount of time just seems a bit to much to be bad luck. We will never know, to say Bitmain has a lack of transparency would be an understatement.

See the effect that Phil has???  :P

While it is quite unlikely, it certainly falls within the realm of possibility that AntPool could have gone for over 10 hours without finding a block.  Of course, it's also just as likely that they tried to do something like change their pool's coinbase sig and just completely screwed the pooch.

Like it was written just above me, Bitmain is not known for its transparency.

This is one reason I like owning the gear.  I can use antpool at PPS.  So find a block or not I still get paid.

The current luck for pool is like 54 percent - https://www.antpool.com/poolStats.htm .  So it does happen on dry spells but normally antpool is so big it does not hit that bad.   So makes me wonder what happened.

should i switch my gear on antpool from PPLNS to PPS?  makes me wonder what is going on as well.

ive always figured antpool was so big it wouldnt need to worry about anything so i stuck with PPLNS

its the simple minded folk reasoning :)  bigger hashrate generally would mean steady blocks found, but theres always variance and luck.

You can always switch it and then go back.   PPS is nice on day's like that don't have big bumps in mining.

Antpool is also the lowest I think as far as percentage for PPS.

AFAIK Antpool doesn't pay TX fees to miners, which could be 0.5-1% - keep that in mind comparing to other pools.

How does that price drop correspond in time to the BM1385 announcements?

Dang, don't you hate it when reason intrudes on a good joke?
