Title: Suggestion: 'This user's email have been changed recently'
Post by: el kaka22 on August 28, 2015, 02:25:24 AM
So, we have 'This user's password have changed recently', and it can help us spot out some sold accounts/hacked accounts. However, for security reasons, normal users may want change their password frequently, but when they're making a deal, then no one would trust him even if the person had trust here.

However, other than sold/hacked accounts, we won't change our email in the normal case. Thus, when a email change is made, we should trade with extreme caution with that user. This is same as the password change warning, but it is more accurate.

What do you think? I personally support this (or I won't suggest this). Please vote.

Edit: I can't add a vote here (solved, just can't see it at the beginning), so please express your opinion here.

I agree that "password has changed recently" doesn't mean much to me. People who haven't sold/lost their account should always be able to sign a message with PGP/Bitcoin.

Even the users haven't changed anything, there is still small chance that accounts are hacked and hackers don't change anything yet. So some ppl are always asking for signing a message to verify the ownership!
