Title: Can I withdraw before downloading the whole blockchain? Post by: Athertle on August 29, 2015, 04:04:15 PM I stupidly sent some bitcoins to a wallet in Bitcoin Core before I downloaded all of the blockchain. Now that I realize that it's a whopping 40GB, I have having second thoughts about downloading the whole thing. My computer doesn't really have that extra space.
I still have about an year and a half to download onto my computer, but all I want to do is get those bitcoins out of my wallet to my Electrum one.
